My truck was having electrical issues ,they had it for 1 week ,put at least 100 miles on it and it wasn't repaired . I will never deal with Capital Ford again. More

Good afternoon. I am sorry that you were not happy with your recent service visit, especially given that it was your first visit to our dealership from what I can see. I spoke with the advisor that was helping you to get a better understanding of your concern. As I understand it, when you originally brought the vehicle in you did not request that we diagnose your vehicle, but that we replace a wheel speed sensor only. You indicated that you have had the vehicle at multiple shops and have been having some issues for quite some time. We advised that we could replace the sensor, but found it unlikely that replacing the sensor would correct your issue. However, we put it in dispatch to replace the part per your request, and you later requested that we stop, and diagnose the vehicle. We found the vehicle has been modified from stock with different size tires and a lift kit, which could be contributing to part of your issues, and also found a windshield heater wiring issue that needed to be addressed prior to diagnosis, to eliminate that as a possible cause of the concern (Per some of your statements regarding the issues revolving around colder ambient temperatures). Your husband indicated that he had someone that would perform the wiring repair and at that point you picked up the vehicle to have that done. The change from replacing the requested part, to diagnosis, accounted for the length of time we had the vehicle, as we were waiting on decisions on your end. I am waiting to review the paperwork for the recorded mileage, but I don't believe we drove the vehicle 100 miles or anywhere close to that. Given that you picked the vehicle up prior to us performing a complete diagnosis, we waived our standard diagnosis fee and you were not charged. I am not sure in this scenario what we could have done differently, to have performed better. I am happy to discuss this matter with you personally, if you feel this is not accurate, or if you change your mind about wanting our assistance. Sincerely, Nicholas Chinn, Service Director.
