As soon as the Executive Manager heard about a customer negative review, he called me in right away. He apologized for the Sales Team Leader, Mr. Allen who had hurriedly made deals that was supposed to help me, but didn't take time to explain to me how all those figures he obtained was going to impact the bottom line,' how much I was going to owe' and factor my trade in there, so I could make an informed decision on whether to trade now, or wait for a better deal. I understand it was all about the sell, but I took it personally because I wasn't given the right information I was seeking to make a choice. For that, the Executive Manager apologized. It was all a big misunderstanding because now I see everything was working, but it didn't look like it was for my good because of too many changes. As a customer, I just couldn't keep up and process everything that was going on looked to me like something was being hidden in the figures. The Executive sat down and went over all the figures with me. He couldn't find where a mistake was made. He pointed out and added up my savings in how much Ford gave which amounted to more than True Car certificate estimated, to my surprise. He also talked about the time constraints in car buying and selling has become tighter in the new markets today. He stated that if you are a nervous person, as I am, about car buying as it is a major purchase, it would be wise to call the Manager a few days before you decide to buy, tell him what you want, how much you want to pay and how long you want the contract for and he can go to work for you. That way, he can have everything all lined up, show you your options, how you can save, ect., and head for a satisfactory, easy car buying experience. That is what I wanted when I went there. I wanted information, but it is a true fact that the business is made to sell. A phone call ahead would have been better. The salesman Rick, I can't say enough about his passion for good, safe cars and standing by the product he sells. He went out of his way in professional presentation of the new car's performance on the lot, on the road and demonstrated all of it's features. He is knowledgeable, hard working, pleasant and talks about the importance of customer's safety and what is being done to protect the customer. He leaves you with a contact number to call with any questions, or concerns. He follow- up with customers to see if everything is performing to your satisfaction. I have a 98 F-150 with a CEL on, so I figured that I would take it to Capital Ford for a full diagnostic and then do the work myself once the "experts" had told me exactly what is wrong. I had no idea that I would be dealing with a lying crook by the name of Mario Dereste. The diagnostic was supposed to be $110, but when I picked my truck up yesterday, they charged me $150. Why??? Under further investigation, Mario tells me that they had to add oil to my truck because it only had a quart in it when I brought it in. First off, I was never asked, nor did I authorize anyone to add anything or do anything to my truck besides a diagnostic. Secondly, what Mr. Dereste did not know was that less than 12 hours before dropping off my truck, I had done a full oil/filter change where I put in 6 quarts of oil, as per the manual's instructions. Did it leak out 5 quarts of oil in less than a full day? Of course not. And besides the fact that I know that didn't happen, the diagnostic report I received clearly states "NO MAJOR OIL LEAKS FOUND." I didn't even argue the issue too much because I figured $40 bucks wouldn't hurt me and it was worth the loss if it meant that I got my truck back and never had to come near Capital Ford again. What a shame! More

Unfortunately the vehicles that I wanted here were out of my price range and I needed a vehicle in a pinch. I will buy my next car from Capital Ford. More
Vehicle was at dealership for stalling out in the morning. Service department had my car for approximately 10 days, called me once to tell me it was ready; when we drove 45 minutes to get it, it was morning. Service department had my car for approximately 10 days, called me once to tell me it was ready; when we drove 45 minutes to get it, it was NOT ready. When I finally did get it back, $400 later, the problem reappeared the next morning. I had to go back to the dealership and demand my money be refunded. It was, minus $35 to "diagnose" my speedometer problem (needle was jumping/sticking). They told me it would cost $500 to replace DASH to solve speedometer problem. Once a fuse box/engine fan relay recall was repaired for free at another Ford dealership, my speedometer never had another problem. Also, the biggest problem with this service department was that they failed to tell me (after replacing various parts, including MAF sensor) that a WIRING HARNESS recall needed to be done to my vehicle which involved replacing the majority of the wiring in the engine. When this was finally done because I researched the recalls, another service department told me they were some of the worst wires (insulation cracking/falling off) they'd ever seen. Why did this dealership not see that? I submitted a claim to Ford after various phone calls to Customer Service, to reimburse me the $600+ I had spent at other mechanics because Young Ford had not seen this wiring problem. Eventually I did receive reimbursement. I would never recommend this service department to anyone unless its for a routine oil change or other maintenance. Anything more complicated would be a waste of time and money. More
