Dear “328i owner”, While we appreciate your review, we have explained that check engine lights can come on multiple times for a number of unrelated issues at this mileage. In your situation, you originally came in on November 11 with 85,188 miles with your check engine light on. We diagnosed it as the Vanos Solenoids (mechanical camshaft timing adjusters) and provided you with an estimate. We also recommended a valve cover gasket be replaced, which you approved. The repairs were performed as specified, based on the codes being shown, and you picked up your vehicle on November 14th. You returned the vehicle to us on December 9th with 85,527 miles stating that the check engine light was illuminated again. This time the codes showed different fault; this time for oil pressure loss and an engine coolant fan issue. We gave you an estimate for these repairs, which you authorized and we provided discounting for the labor as a courtesy. We also provided discounts for other items repaired at the same time.
