After picking it up, I drove my car 875 miles approximately and the oil light came on. Took it back that day. While waiting on a loaner, I saw my car leave the servuce driveway, assuming it was a test drive. Later, I see my car coming back in ON A WRECKER. Upon inquiring, they couldn't tell me what happened. Several days later, I called and again, no one could tell me what had happened . They kept my car about 7-8 weeks again. FINALLY, as I'm picking it up for the second time, I inquire again of what the problem was and was told the motor had spun a bearing in the motor, locking it up. According to them, it was due to a BAD BUILD of the motor. I picked it up on a Monday...Wednesday evening, I noticed a very small amount of moisture on the ground underneath the car. I drove it a total of maybe a half of a mile, and parked it. The following day when I go to run an errand here in town, I noticed a much larger amount oil underneath it. I called Alex and made him aware of it. After that conversation, I decided it was probably best I find a different dealer, and did!!! Its being thoroughly checked to be repaired now...It appears they have some very incompetent service staff. This really needs to be investigated. I see why, according to the internet, Ford is very last on the J.D. Powers list for best service
**NOTE** On January 29th, my initial contact about the recall, I expressed concern about my transmission going bad and relayed to Daniel I really needed my car back by the 1st of March because my extended warranty expired on March 5th. Their transmission mechanic rode with me and I showed him a few things it was doing. He said he'd check it out. Sometime later, when I inquired about it, I was told the transmission was fine. All my problems were being caused by the motor. According to my new dealer, my transmission is virtually gone...
SOOOOO....to make me happy, I want a new motor and transmission, to be monetarily paid for all my grief. I have missed doctors' appointments, a trip I had planned, and other events. I am a 72 y/o disabled veteran and that the very least Ford Motor Company can do!!! I've been a "FORD" man all my life....
