I've been having my Escapes serviced at this dealership for 13 years. I discovered last week that not only were they putting the wrong oil in my 2017 Escape, they weren't adding enough back in it by more for 13 years. I discovered last week that not only were they putting the wrong oil in my 2017 Escape, they weren't adding enough back in it by more than a quarter. Checking my service receipts from this dealer for the past 3 years (40000 miles) shows they've been putting the wrong oil in it all along. I had the oil changed again last week and checked it before leaving the dealership. Once again, the dip stick showed no oil on it. I told the service person, Jason and he came out and confirmed it. He then asked a mechanic ( Matt) to check it and he also agreed no oil was showing on the dip stick. Matt then got a qrt of oil and added it. I pointed out he added a different oil than is printed on the oil fill cap. Jason offered to complete another oil change immediately along with a new filter and the correct viscosity oil. Being this engine is turbocharged, it's vital the correct oil is used and the correct amount. I can't help but wonder if the engine has been damaged and/or the life of the engine decreased. I've never had anything but good service from Candy Ford in the past. However, this really has me concerned. More
