Worst Purchasing Experience of My Life REVIEW for CAMPING WORLD 1-26-2017 The worst sales experience I have ever had. Was delivered a "new" 2017 Winnebago Era that leaked at sliding do REVIEW for CAMPING WORLD 1-26-2017 The worst sales experience I have ever had. Was delivered a "new" 2017 Winnebago Era that leaked at sliding doors and rear double doors prior to my taking possession. Camping World would not fix it - said it wasn't their responsibility - take it to Mercedes / Freightliner. The main issues besides leaking, water damaged unit are: Precision Control (main control) Panel shuts off and won't restart without disconnecting house batteries and forcing reset = no controls, no water etc. Furnace will only run on Propane - if electric attempted, Warning Indicator Illuminates indicating overheating and furnace shuts off. Will only run on Eco mode, any other mode overheats and shuts off. Refrigerator will only run on Propane and only of not plugged in to electric. If electric shoreline is connected, refrigerator shuts off completely. Window blinds fell off, drawers wont open and "interior uphostery protection package" was a rip off - could clearly see that only half the surface area of ceiling was touched by cloth. Paid extra for Premium Upholstery and Paint Protection – can clearly see on ceiling that only half of surface area was touched with Protectant. Camping World of Hillsboro has offered nothing by way of making this situation right. They tell me to bring it up for repairs more than six weeks after I picked it up when their parts arrive. This means I have an unusable, fully paid for unit that arrived leaking, and water damaged with most major systems not working. Camping World is unwilling to do anything other than repair internal items only, and at their leisure. What a mistake to have purchased from this dealership who does not stand behind their product and does not support their customers. They have been deceptive from start. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with what should have been a most pleasurable experience. Would never recommend doing business with Camping World of Hillsboro. Happy to share my name, Alice Parsons ** Additional: 1/29/2017 The day after I initially posted this review, I received a phone call from sales manager attempting to placate me. He then threatened to withdraw order for replacement Precision Control Panel (main control panel). They attempted to pass leak off as Mercedes responsibility. Mercedes did everything possible to find leak in door and determined that is not where leak is. Camping World of Hillsboro takes no responsibility and refuses to repair leak or other issues. More

Stay away from this dealer Bought a fifth wheel 2016. After taking delivery I discovered a hole in the rubber roof a decal that was damaged, a missing dish in the microwave and the self leveler does not work. The leveler did not work on the walk through but the guy said it was because the ground was too unlevel. There were several other pieces missing but were replaced before delivery, such as light covers and even the P trap. They used this unit for parts and didn't replace them all! I put in several calls to everyone at that dis functional dealership and e mails and not one person did anything to address the problems. It has been a week since trying to get resolution and no one did anything. I had to patch the roof on my brand new 50k RV myself because it started to rain. I will get the work done elsewhere and send them the bill and if they don't pay they will be sued. There is no where to park in this congested lot to even shop in their store. Their employees are very unhappy, while waiting for delivery I overheard some RV techs, one of them saying "I've had it, I quit". They were frustrated because a customer pulled up and parked in front of an RV they were going to get and were rude to the customer asking how long he was going to be. I am amazed this place stays in business with the most xxxx poor customer service I have ever seen from the top down. More

There I was, about to leave on an extended trip over Labor Day weekend. I was outfitting my trailer and near the front, detected the smell of propane.....NOT GOOD!. Looking carefully at the propane line to the cabin, I noticed that one of the tanks had the rim resting on the propane line. Even though I had turned the propane off, I could detect a leak at that point. Although it was Saturday of Labor Day weekend, I decided to drive over to the dealer and see how to proceed. Peter Beston, the dealership manager, happened to be standing in the lobby when I walked in. I told him of my problem. He said he had a Master Technician working that day that could make the repair and asked how long it would take me to get the trailer. Replying that it would only take 20 minutes or so to go to the storage lot, hook up, and return, he told me to get the rig. Upon my return, the technician had removed the rarely required part from another new trailer and installed it on mine. After testing for leaks, confirming that all was well, I was on my way, literally, 60 minutes from my first conversation with Mr. Beston. Wow, what support and service! More
Terrible customer service So I want to warn everybody about this Camping Worlds service department. Their service Adviser Eric Astleford has no business being in a customer ser So I want to warn everybody about this Camping Worlds service department. Their service Adviser Eric Astleford has no business being in a customer service type position and the Service manager Chris is not much better. here is my story.... In May of this year my son in law borrowed our toyhauler trailer to go riding with his buddy's. Upon his return he informed me of issues they had with the generator. he said for the first day it would not run for more then a half hour and would then die like it was running out of fuel.On the second day they checked it and found no issues and it ran fine the whole day. I decided to do some testing on the generator to see if it would repeat the problem. It did. it would run great then suddenly die like it was out of gas. Not being a small engine mechanic I decided to research about taking it to a shop. I called a couple places and settled on Camping World. I called and spoke with Eric and told him what was going on. He said he could have his techs look at it. He told me he had a meeting to go to and that he would call me back later that day to schedule a time to have me drop it off. this should have been my first red flag. He never called me back. I called 2 times over the next day trying to reach him but with no luck. Finally 2 days later I got a hold of him and we set a appointment to drop it off on June 9th in the morning to get the generator looked at and I also decided to have them check and grease my wheel bearings. When I arrived Eric seemed to have no clue that I was coming in that morning and did not even remember what repairs I needed done. We gt the trailer all checked in and Eric said his tech would look at it on Friday and that he would call me Friday afternoon to let me know what the tech found and to get a game plan for the baklance of the repairs. Well Friday came and went and no call from Eric. I figured they got busy and did not get to my trailer that day and figured I would get a call Monday. Well by 4pm Monday I had not received a call so I called them. All I got was Eric's voicemail. I left him a message asking he call me. Tuesday at noon I attempted to call again. I was informed Eric was with a customer. I was once again sent to his voicemail. I left him another message. At 4:30pm I called again.got when I asked to speak to Eric I was just sent to his voicemail. I left another message but then called back. I asked the receptionist if he was on site and she said yes. I asked her to please give him a hand written note to call me. She said she would. I never git a call back. On wednesday and thursday I repeated the same routine. But no return call. On Friday Morning at 9am I called and instead of asking for Eric I just asked for Service. I got a nice young lady named Holly. I asked her if she had any idea what was the status of my trailer. I explained to her about not getting any response from Eric. SHe said that Eric was off that day but had been in all week and did not know why he had not returned my calls. She also said she would look into my trailer repairs and said she would call me back in the afternoon. That afternoon I ended up not having to work so at 1pm that day I drove over to Camping World to see for myself what the statues of my trailer was. Upon my arrival I spoke with Holly in Service. I asked if she had any information on my trailer. Her answer was "I told you I would call you by 5PM today"!!! I explained to her that I was tired of waiting for answers and want someone to tell me what is going on now. She left and went out into the shop for about 10 minutes. When she came back she had no answers. The tech who was working on my trailer had left for lunch. At this point the service manager came out of his office. All he could do is make excuses and lies about what was going on. Everything from being short staff to Eric being off all week on personnel issues. But he assured me he would call me by 5pm that day to let me know what was going on with my trailer repairs. At 4:59pm I had not received any call yet, So I called his direct number which he had given me and no answer. I called the main number and spoke with the receptionist. She told me he might have left. I told her that he had explained to me that he would call me that day and to please go see if he was in so we could speak She was able to get a hold of him and he picked up the phone. He started making excuses about calling me. He then explained to me that the generator issue was caused by a dirty float bowl and the carburetor being gummed up. i told him this does not make sense because why would the generator run for 30 minutes one time and then run all day. I told him it had to be a fuel supply issue. he assured me that the fuel pump was tested and just fine. He told me they were waiting on one part to come in to finish the tune up on the generator. I told him I had not authorized a tune up on the generator. That Eric was suppose to call me back to go over what they foun More

Do not buy here!! Horrible Prices!!! Absolutely do not buy a RV at this location. They don't care about customer service at all. Absolutely horrible!! Do yourself a favor and shop aroun Absolutely do not buy a RV at this location. They don't care about customer service at all. Absolutely horrible!! Do yourself a favor and shop around. Their prices are thousands of dollars more than other dealers for the exact same trailer. The EXACT SAME! And if you call them out on their prices, they aren't real nice about it. Haha. Seriously, price around before you buy- you'll be really happy you did. Go to a smaller dealer and get much better service and save a ton of money in the process. Do not recommend this place at all.I'm still shocked at their prices, absolutely shocked. More
Bad experience at two different locations. Terrible experience at two different locations. We had a bad experience at two different Camping World locations. After reading other reviews onlin Terrible experience at two different locations. We had a bad experience at two different Camping World locations. After reading other reviews online, it seems like our experience is quite common. First – Hillsboro location: We got an estimate for hitching work that needed to be done to our truck and then negotiated a good deal the trailer that we wanted. The day before we were to take delivery, the truck work estimate increased by 40%. They hadn’t even seen the truck yet, so there is no reason for the increase except that they may have been trying to recoup some money they didn’t make since I had negotiated a very good price on the trailer. We walked away. Second experience – Portland location: I’d negotiated a good price on a trailer with my salesman via email before coming into the dealership. All was well until we were ready to finalize the deal and they sprung extra charges on us. $1100 for delivery and inspection plus another $995 in freight fees - an extra $2000 in fees on an $11,000 trailer. Fortunately I had the email from my salesman that stated the total cost they’d advertised was the ‘out the door’ price – no other fees. The manager begrudgingly said he’d sell the trailer for what the saleman told me, but I think that is only because I had that in writing. He spent a good bit of time explaining that they have fine print at the bottom of all their sale pages online that mentions these fees. So, expect the extra fees at the end, and get your deal in writing before you get there. I called the day before we were to take delivery to see if the agreed upon repairs had been made. Not one of them had been done. They said the tech couldn’t see the biggest problem we’d pointed out (outside storage door not sealing/closing properly). I would have happily explained if someone had just called me during the two weeks they had the trailer supposedly doing the requested work. Or they could have asked our salesman, since he was there when we pointed it out. We walked away from this sale as well. We won’t be doing any business with Camping World, in any location, ever. My time is too valuable to deal with this shady behavior. The integrity of the companies that I do business with is important to me. I can't imagine dealing with this company on warranty issues or repairs if we had purchased from them. More
Little to no customer service We took our 5th wheel in to have the pluming fixed under a warranty at the end of February. We purchased it while living in another state. Our servi We took our 5th wheel in to have the pluming fixed under a warranty at the end of February. We purchased it while living in another state. Our service guy, Eric, was just as friendly as could be, until we walked out the door. The communication was very difficult. One example was after leaving no less than four messages on just this particular incident, I dropped in to see what the status was on a Friday afternoon. I explained that I had left several messages and he hadn't called me back. His answer was, "Lady, I haven't returned phone calls from Monday yet." My calls were from last week. He then couldn't find the work order, and when he did, it was on the bottom of the stack. They charged two hours more than the Mitchell book said the job should be done in. The insurance company split the difference and paid nine hours instead of eight. They then charged us that last hour. They did not replace the kitchen facet that was broken, they glued it back. I have never seen such nonexistent customer service in my life. Non-responsive, even with the managers involved. I would not recommend Camping World of Hillsboro, ever. I will definitely look into the customer reviews before I have any more work done by the next service center. More
Not quite happy We have mixed feelings towards Camping World Hillsboro. Dealer was professional and helped us find what we want with a good price. Buying process went We have mixed feelings towards Camping World Hillsboro. Dealer was professional and helped us find what we want with a good price. Buying process went smoothly. Everything seemed to be professional until days later we received a notice from Washington State DMV saying our new trailer cannot be registered until they received enough sales tax. We felt shocked because we agreed with the finance manager verbally on the out-door-price, and got a firm "NO" when asking if we need to pay more tax. We contacted the dealership immediately to sort things out. He either refused to answer our call or told us "sorry that is it" and that we had to pay extra money ourselves. They seemed not to care about credibility or reputation. Conclusion: Don't be fooled by their perceived sincerity. Be aware of any hidden fees or charges they would put on you. Carefully review any paperwork or calculate numbers before signing anything. More
