Avoid this dealership’s service department—especially DAVID NIX. Rude, unprofessional, and clearly part of a bigger problem with poor service and bad management, as shown by other reviews. PLEASE, PLEASE DAVID NIX. Rude, unprofessional, and clearly part of a bigger problem with poor service and bad management, as shown by other reviews. PLEASE, PLEASE read this before visiting—it could save you both time and money, or at least give you a better understanding of what you should expect as a paying customer. I recently visited for an oil change and to get a check engine/fuel cap issue diagnosed. I was told I’d be charged $186 for the diagnostic, The service advisor even tried to sell me on the fee by sharing the usual sob story about how the technicians need to get paid to put food on the table for their families—fine. But I was also told that if they found the issue and could fix it, there would be no additional charges. That was a lie. After the diagnostic, I was told my car threw two codes—information I could’ve confirmed for free at AutoZone. But then, the advisor insisted that I now needed another $154 for a ‘Smoke Test’ to try and identify the actual issue. At that point, it stopped feeling like honest service and more like a sales tactic, adding unnecessary charges without providing any clear resolution. I had already agreed to pay $186 for a diagnostic(and the repair), and at that price, I expected a professional assessment that would directly address the problem, not just a code scan with no real solution in sight and have to get further assessments. When I questioned this because I couldn't understand the recommended charges, David Nix grew frustrated, became dismissive and rude, and canceled the service and banned me from returning, claiming "I don't want to pay and probably couldn’t afford it" This wasn’t just unprofessional—it was a direct attack on my character. I was shocked, feeling targeted and disrespected in a way that no paying customer should ever experience. The golden rule isn’t applied at this location. I paid to have my vehicle checked, not just get two codes. Since the initial service didn’t fix anything, why should I pay for another test with no guarantee? Instead, I was discriminated against and refused further services, making things worse. Worse, when I expressed disappointment as a past customer who bought my car from this dealership, David Nix publicly humiliated me by falsely claiming “you didn’t buy it, your mom did,” in front of other customers. I was embarrassed, discriminated against, and completely disrespected. I never spoke directly with the technician, he was present the entire process. From what I observed, it seemed like he wanted to do a proper job with my vehicle. However, it was David Nix who insisted on upselling me additional services and chose not to proceed with a full diagnostic of my car. Instead of addressing the actual issue, he suggested a ‘Smoke Test’ and suggested another charge, seemingly out of fear that I wouldn’t want to pay for the full repair service with parts and labor. It felt like David Nix was more interested in securing his profits with just selling me another half hour of assessment rather than offering a comprehensive and honest diagnosis of my vehicle’s problem and repairing my vehicle. If you scroll through other reviews, there is a pattern of rude, dismissive, or dishonest behavior across the service department. They use profit-over-ethics tactics and offer no accountability—just generic replies when people share real problems. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Customers deserve respect and professional service—none of which I received here. As a retired member of the Armed Forces, a prior client of this dealership, and most importantly, a human being, I expected to be treated with basic dignity and ethical service. Instead, I was met with what I believe to be discriminatory and prejudiced behavior from David Nix, whose comments felt personal and degrading. I came in for routine service, but was instead humiliated and dismissed without proper guidance or care. I w More

Had service work performed on my 2013 Dodge Dart with only 22K miles- CEL was on - trans would go into limp-in - they told me the valve body assy needed replaced - $4500.00 - picked up and never made it only 22K miles- CEL was on - trans would go into limp-in - they told me the valve body assy needed replaced - $4500.00 - picked up and never made it home - they argued about the tow back, I should pay - really? - rechecked and needed the TCM for $806,00 - so what was actually at fault from the start? They also stated I needed swaybar links for the noise in the right front - replaced for $360.00 and same knocking was there - talked to svc. mgr Tim and his best option was to replace both front struts and both lower control arms - but he would kind enough to give me a discount and no guarantee - this would be a start - we might have to do more, so, why all the remaining components for both sides for a noise on the right? There are no other suspension components to replace - I declined the repairs and suggested they get some fishing rods since they won't use the tools they have at hand - (chassis ears) - with no solution, I sent a certified letter to Mr. Calavan, describing my service experience and never received a response - checked back several times to follow up and still, no response - I am an ASE Master Tech, 35 years running and have been with Chrysler/Dodge dealers since 1976 - Chrysler Master for 22 years - retired now and just don't want to work on my own vehicles anymore - I don't have access to the shop lifts, ETC. I would like to believe in dealers as I was one of the honest tech's out there - I have seen all sides of this business through the years and always heard how expensive dealer repairs are but - that's supposed to be where the buck stops and you get what you pay for - not at Calavan CDJR - their process is to replace everything and with no guarantee - The tech that insisted my CEL (check engine light} needed a $4500.00 repair, then another $800 for the TCM (transmission control module) was the same one that replaced my 'bad' swaybar links and told his advisor to sell me all the remaining suspension components to repair a knock in the lower right - beware folks - there are some good dealers out there that will stand behind there diag and repairs - not this one More
We've been waiting now 6 weeks to repair and replace driver door. Every week we've been told waiting on a part. Last week we were called and told all parts in vehicle would be ready no later then Mid-da driver door. Every week we've been told waiting on a part. Last week we were called and told all parts in vehicle would be ready no later then Mid-day Monday 11/7. Monday evening we called still no work done on vehicle and now we still waiting on several parts with no known eta on them arriving. No one even thought enough to call us Friday when the car was supposedly pulled in to start repairs. No one even called us Monday when they knew repairs weren't started and we still needed to wait. Customer service here is not even in favor of the customer. The customer has to call. Go by and then be lied to multiple times. This isn't like a lawn more down. This is our daily vehicle that we need to make our on living to support our family. And all we get is sorry. Then when we asked to move it to somewhere else. They threatened us with $700 restock fee for parts. I ask what part if it's been 6 weeks. More

I dropped my car off 1 week ago for a diagnostic check (no repairs just a check) 1 week later car still has not been checked. The representative that answered the phone was rude and unhelpful. When I call (no repairs just a check) 1 week later car still has not been checked. The representative that answered the phone was rude and unhelpful. When I called to make a complaint Tim Allen was rude and unhelpful. He told me to speak with the sales manager to file a complaint against the service manager. When I asked who was over both managers he claimed he did not know. Taking 1 week to perform a diagnostic check is ridiculous. No vehicle or insight as to what is wrong with my vehicle is unacceptable. Service department claims to be short staffed, yet the manager was not at work on Friday or Monday to help his overwhelmed staff. This place is a JOKE. More
We experienced everyone's worst nightmare last week when our 2015 Grand Cherokee diesel began sporadically idling rough, followed by the check engine light coming on - late in the afternoon 700 miles from h our 2015 Grand Cherokee diesel began sporadically idling rough, followed by the check engine light coming on - late in the afternoon 700 miles from home. To make a long story short, Calavan took our car in immediately and began the process of analyzing what the problem was. Fuel filter replaced, plus an injector and all is well. Soli Jatta moved heaven and earth to find the parts get them delivered quickly. We were on our way in 48 hours. Thanks Soli 👍🏻. More
My car battery died & I had it towed to what is now Calavan. It is still under warranty but since I didn't have an appointment it took 4 days, not counting Sunday they had my vehicle. When I went to Calavan. It is still under warranty but since I didn't have an appointment it took 4 days, not counting Sunday they had my vehicle. When I went to pick it up the service manager, Mr. whitehead, requested to see me. It went down hill from there! It made him mad that he couldn't make me happy. When I proceeded to tell him all the reasons it made him mad. He proceeded to beret the service writer in my presence telling him my biggest complaint was lack of communication & "that pisses me off". I will never go back to this dealership for service. if he had left well enough alone I would have been fine, not sure what he wanted short of kissing his feet did he expect. I thanked him for getting my vehicle back to me but when I didn't smile when I said it I guess he didn't believe me. I am the customer & I will not kiss anyone's feet for doing their job. More
