Bought a used 2009 Jeep Wrangler from this lot on April 23, 2011. Worked with sales person Derek. A lot of games were played during this sales transaction. I have worked with several dealerships in the past where I have been able to walk in and state what I want and been told how we can do that. Derek had to go into his boss's office several times, try and talk me into putting money down which I told him up front that I would not do (I had a nearly 18000 trade in), and his boss finally came out complete with a bunny (for Easter) drawn on my sales sheet which said, "you win!". After we agreed upon a price, Derek repeatedly told me in a "joking" tone to "not be mean to anyone else" because I had "already been mean to him". Apparently going to this dealership knowing what your trade is worth, what your credit score is, and what you want is considered "mean". As stated, I purchased a Jeep Wrangler, the car I purchased has a soft top to it, which as of today I still have not received. It is apparently with a family member of Derek's that he sold another Jeep to and mistakenly gave them the incorrect top. It isn't in my possession yet because Derek told me today that it was just "easier" for his family to bring it back to Independence when they come today rather than mail it to me. I had at least expected the top to have been mailed by now, if not here. No update had been given as to when I was to expect the top prior to my discussion today with Derek. I have had the car for 2 weeks now and the rear brakes started to squeak. It is still under warranty so I brought it to the Jeep dealer where I live. The dealer let me know that the back brake pads were more than half worn and the rotors needed to be smoothed. I called Cable-Dahmer and asked if this is something that they would take care of as I felt like it should have been addressed before the car was sold. They said I would need to take it to their service department in order to accessed because the Jeep dealership here was trying to cheat me. I live almost 2 hours away and asked if they would just pay for the service in my home town rather than me drive and was told no. I can understand not paying, however in my mind, good customer service would include helping your customer find any and all alternatives to the situation. Simply telling me that the Jeep dealership here is trying to cheat me is both rude, and unhelpful. I will never buy from this dealer again, nor recommend it to anyone. The only good things that I can say about this experience (which I why I rated a 3 on "friendliness" above) is my first conversation with Vida about the car I saw online. She was extremely friendly and helpful and was the deciding factor in me driving 2 hours away from home to come look at the car that I ended up buying. I wish Vida would have been my salesperson. More
Awesome experience and super friendly customer service. I didnt think that it was going to be possible to get an actual loan and they did everything possible to walk away with a new car and lower payments. There are several reasons I bring all my cars to your dealership, but Erin and Justin (My service writer) make the experience enjoyable. I would also like to mention Bobby in the service department has helped me on a few occasions and is also an outstanding member of your team. The management and owners should be proud of the people they have working for them. I will continue to bring my cars (even my non-chevy cars)to your dealership for service and have hopes of purchasing the new style corvette when it arrives. More
I had a very good experience. Stan spent a lot of time with me to ensure I understood the vehicle I was buying. He was very knowledgable about the buying process and took extra time to make me aware of so with me to ensure I understood the vehicle I was buying. This was my first experience at a dealership and I could not have asked for a more pleasant one. I called the night before I wanted to go look at a car and my salesman, Steven Smith, called me shortly afte not have asked for a more pleasant one. He was very friendly and easy to talk to on the phone, so we made the appointment. I told him what I was looking for and being a college student, I had a major budget and he was totally willing to work with me! We went up to look at a car and the dealership was so busy but every salesperson we ran into acknowledged us and were pleasant. We decided against the car we orignally went to see but found another one. Steven was great when we told him what we found. After talking with my dad we decided that was the car we wanted to drive home. We came back and began to talk numbers. Steven was great on giving us options and telling us exactly how we could set up payments in my price range! As I said being a college student on a Starbucks budget is tough business but he never once was rude or never even seem frustrated with us. I was with my dad and there were many times we had to call my mom and decide if this was what we wanted to do. Steven even talked to my mom on the phone and assured her that we were getting a good deal. He never lost his cool and was amazing to deal with! I would totally recommend that if you are looking for a car to give these guys serious consideration. They know what they are talking about and I truly believe they want you to be satisfied and give the best deal that they can. I have absolutely no complaints about my experience whatsoever. This is a GREAT dealership with knowledgable employees. Even after we made the deal, I have received phone calls from them to make sure that we are still satisfied. They really care about their customers and make sure that our needs are met. It was an excellent experience and I am very glad I got my car from them. I absolutely love it! These guys rock! (Oh and the parents are stoked too!) Thank you so much, Steve and everyone at Cable-Dahmer for making my first car buying experience enjoyable, smooth, and hey even fun! More
