We have now had 3 GEM cars. The first one was purchased used, the last two were purchased new from Bill Bryan. One of our GEM cars could not provide the range that is normally expected from a GEM vehicl used, the last two were purchased new from Bill Bryan. One of our GEM cars could not provide the range that is normally expected from a GEM vehicle. Richard & Jimmy went to great lengths to finally resolve the problem. I think another dealership would have told us to live with it as is or that it was a problem with the way we drive. Richard & Jimmy spent were persistent in working with the technical support people at GEM and diligent in their pursuit of a solution. We cannot say enough about the service that has been rendered. Richard also takes time on his own to come to our monthly GEM meetings and answer any technical questions that our group might present. He is a very positive representative for the GEM product. I had a problem with my GEM Car that I bought new from this dealership. It was apparently so unusual a problem that it was not easily analyzed or fixed. These guys told me they would fix it. They spent may hours on several separate occasions working on this, even calling in factory specialists. They would make a repair and bring it back to me (it had to be taken to and from my house by trailer) to test it. For several cycles of this activity the problem kept returning. I had confidence that they could resolve this problem and I had the patience to work with them on it. I don't mean to suggest that this was trial and error or shotgun technique maintenance. Every attempt was a reasonable approach to the problem based on what was learned earlier. After swapping out almost every component that could have been the problem, they finally zeroed in on the capability of the electric motor and replaced it with an optional higher rated one and the problem disappeared and hasn't returned - an expensive solution (for them...), but the only one that made sense given all the other factors. I am confident that the issue is resolved. This was a lot of work for them and I'm sure that dealership and the warranty took a beating on labor and parts, but these gentlemen worked tirelessly to resolve this problem. I have difficulty finding the words to describe how happy I am that we all persevered with this because the vehicle now operates better than new and I know that every inch of it has been gone over and checked as part of this issue. I am thoroughly enjoying my "new" vehicle now thanks to their efforts. I am technically inclined and it was a pleasure to observe what they were doing. They sure know their stuff about GEM Cars. They were kind enough to answer all my questions and explain everything they were doing. I now know more about this vehicle than I ever would have had this problem not come up, for which I am grateful. The GEM Car folks at the Bill Bryan dealership are great! More
Richard Gallop and Jimmy Jones go out of their way to give customer satisfaction for Gem owners. Richard comes every month to the Gem Club meeting in The Villages to talk with Gem owners and answer ques give customer satisfaction for Gem owners. Jimmy also often comes to the meetings and explains some of the technical details that come up. They seem to really care about you and try very hard to take care of any problems quickly and with the least amount of cost to the customer for a quality repair. More
Richard is very friendly and helpful. The lock on our Gem cart broke and the mirror was loose. The replaced the mirror and lock very efficiently and the lock is easier to use than it had been. My service representative was courteous and accurate in her quote. I enjoy their lounge but think that the Fox News Channel is not 'fair and balanced' as advertised. I have been dealing with Richard and Jimmy for about three to four years regarding service for my Chrysler GEM Low Speed Vehicle (LSV). Every time I've had a problem they have taken care of it in a ver three to four years regarding service for my Chrysler GEM Low Speed Vehicle (LSV). Every time I've had a problem they have taken care of it in a very professional and timely fashion. I've also purchased additional options for my GEM and the installation has been done withoutr any problems. Unfortunately, I purchased my vehicle before moving within distance of Bill Bryan's dealership, and did NOT receive very good service from the previous dealer. Jose was my service technician/contact person. He took care of a complicated situation where a third party was reponsible for damages to my truck. He was prompt, kept me informed and up to date with phone care of a complicated situation where a third party was reponsible for damages to my truck. He was prompt, kept me informed and up to date with phone calls, was very communicative, professional and patient. He made a very potentially distasteful and difficult situation much easier to deal with. I live in Georgia (have some family in Florida), but continue to bring my truck to Bill Bryan for Service and repairs and have for the last three years because they are so good to deal with...prompt, professional and very courteous. More
