July 2024, Calstar Mercedes Dealer performed a simple repair on my C250 that any high school auto shop student could easily do. The labor time guides rate this ignition coil replacement to take .6 hours. repair on my C250 that any high school auto shop student could easily do. The labor time guides rate this ignition coil replacement to take .6 hours. Calstar charged me $581 labor for this service. That comes out to $975 an hour. Calstar gave me a few explanations for this price gouging which included a few minute test drive at the end and the insinuation that I should be grateful that they made the repair in a timely manner. You decide for yourself whether you would bring your Mercedes to be serviced here. More

If I could give zero stars, I would. My brand new car with 800 miles on the clock that I literally had it for three weeks was held hostage by this service department for a mind-boggling My brand new car with 800 miles on the clock that I literally had it for three weeks was held hostage by this service department for a mind-boggling month! They did absolutely nothing, zero, zilch and I could see that on the app!!!! Oh, except for lying through their teeth every time I called. The incompetence here is astounding I was promised updates that never came, and every time I reached out, it was a different excuse. It’s as if they had a competition for the most creative lie! Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else. This place is a black hole for cars and customer service. Avoid, avoid, avoid! More
Poor service. No one is available to be asked a simple question. Service manager does not return calls and other employees do not pick up their phones. No one is available to be asked a simple question. Service manager does not return calls and other employees do not pick up their phones. More
The only time you receive a call is when you leave negative reviews. I bought my CLA as certified pre-owned. That means used vehicles have been thoroughly inspected and repaired as needed. I only had negative reviews. I bought my CLA as certified pre-owned. That means used vehicles have been thoroughly inspected and repaired as needed. I only had my car for 1 year. The first time it happened was 9 mos after I made the purchase!! I rated that experience as poor experience with Salim. This was over a lifted spoiler where all they had to do was reglue it. Apparently, sales job is to pacify potential buyers but Upper management also needs to be monitored THERE'S ZERO COMMUNICATION. SERVICE DEPT: .SAM the Service mgr is no different and needs to be baby sat.Despite my return call on 4/5, and being given an appointment by Sam to bring in my car, upon my arrival, Sam who I was supposed to meet with, was with a customer but soon finished 10 minutes after. I sat waiting in my car and observed him walking around, not doing anything but killing time. When I got out of my car and began to walk in his direction, IT WAS ONLY THEN HE ACKNOWLEDGED ME. Understand I was there for an hour waiting for him, watching him not doing anything. We discussed issues regarding my vehicle, and he introduced me to Art, who understood the problems and told me immediately what the issue was. I was under the impression I would leave my car, however, Sam told me I needed to schedule a drop off appointment stating he would have someone call me with an appointment. (WHAT? I don't live in the area, I reside approximately 45 minutes away.) I gave Sam the benefit if the doubt. To NO SURPRISE I found myself calling Chris back 5 HOURS later to ask about my appointment. Chris immediately instructed Sam to call me. Sam gave me the excuse he was short-handed and would call me back with a scheduled appointment personally. I told him this is something he should already have when he called me. He reiterated he was "short handed". 5 minutes he called with my appointment, and told they had NO LOANERS UNTIL JUNE. So either I have a second car or wait to have my car serviced!! I did tell him THIS IS A MERCEDES DEALERSHIP. How is it they don't have any loaner inventory until JUNE? We are in the first week of April. His reply "we are that busy". I told him " this dealership has that many cars on repair backlog you have 2 months worth of work out?" NO RESPONSE. Just "ok we will see you Monday at 10 am" I have been pacified enough. I advised Chris Pass what Sam wanted to tell me believing I am ignorant and gullible. I worked for Galpin before and aware of procedures not to mention a collision appraisal owner KNOWLEDGEABLE on repair time, LOANERS are not out for months in advance. Especially for vehicles being repaired. Repairs usually take 1 to 2 weeks tops if waiting on special parts. CalStar farms out their body work to another shop. They don't do those type of repairs at this location. It's rare a dealership does. CALSTAR MOTORS is a very poorly run dealership that was just recently purchased by Susan Wong. CHRIS PASS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BABY SIT GROWN MEN.. Starting with Salim in Used cars and SAM THE SERVICE MANAGER. They BOTH ARE weak links and needs to be let go. Im grateful for Chris Pass, and DANIEL ROBLES, Service Advisor. I told Chris he is the ONLY one I would deal with and did not want Sam to "help".I hope Chris realizes Daniels potential and replaces Sam with Daniel. Sam has already insulted my intelligence due to my gender believing I'm gullible because I'm a woman. What Sam lacks is integrity, and work ethic. Daniel Robles has both not to mention excellent communication, customer service., and RESPECT. He truly goes beyond to make customers happy. Time to clean house if CalStar wants to be number 1. More

I leased EQS 450+, they told me that I get 2 years free charges, it is almost 4 months and still I do not get free charges, they have no idea why? Every time I go there asking them and telling them that th charges, it is almost 4 months and still I do not get free charges, they have no idea why? Every time I go there asking them and telling them that they leased me a car under false promise and they do not do anything. I am sick and I will never go to this dealer ever again. More
I live in So. Utah and have purchased vehicles out of state from NY, OR, TX, NV and this newest vehicle from CA. I don't know if my poor experience was the cause of employees, the dealership itself or t state from NY, OR, TX, NV and this newest vehicle from CA. I don't know if my poor experience was the cause of employees, the dealership itself or the State of CA but it shouldn't have taken so long to do a non-debt non-lease strictly cash deal in exchange for a vehicle (yes I did fail to sign a couple of documents which were returned to me but that was only worth three extra days). It seemed like every day there was a new demand, I felt like I was not to be trusted and I had to prove several times that I was no more than just a regular guy. It all started May 16th with a $500 C.C. deposit. I was asked to send photos of the front and back of the C.C. along with a picture of myself holding my drivers license, it got worse after that. One of the last irritating issues was they insisted they had to arrange transport for my car to my address. I looked into it and found several carriers that would have charged me less and picked up the car sooner. The dealer told me the car pickup would be Tuesday and delivery would be Friday June 4th. The delivery didn't happen on Friday I guess I should have asked them which Friday? A new car purchase is supposed to be fun but not this one. In the end I asked to be unsubscribed from their customer lists. It was the most exhausting vehicle purchase of my 74 years. Saturday update: I just spoke with the transport company who told me they don't accept cash or check as the dealer told me on delivery but need me to prepay through PayPal and the car was never to be delivered until Monday. For me using this dealer was a gigantic mistake. More
