I had a limb doing a dance on the hood of my 3 month old 2017 Silverado LT. Needless to say it had dozens of scratches all across it. I contacted Kenneth and he said to bring it in and they would have a look at it. I was there for less than an hour and Youmans had sanded, buffed, polished, and waxed the hood and then washed my truck. Youmans Chevrolet provides THE BEST service after the sale I have ever seen. The car was in the shop all day and I finally had to call around 3:30pm to see if they had figured any thing out. I spoke with Edwin who was the service rep assigned to our Equinox. Edwin informed me that he was unsure what the issue was and would call me back in 5min after checking with the techs. When he called me back, he explained that it was leaking oil at the timing chain cover but wasn't sure if it was also consuming oil. That they wanted us to take the vehicle home, drive it for 500 miles (while it still currently has a known oil leak) and bring it back to them for further investigation. I explained that it was pointless to preform an oil change and that I wouldn't pay for it when the oil was just going to leak out anyway. I then asked to speak with their service manager. Edwin put Brian (service mgr) on the phone and I explained my concern with the situation. Brian then began talking over me, yelling at me and told me that they would not charge us for the oil change but he wanted us to pick up the vehicle and never come back. I then asked to speak with his mgr and he said he would have him call me and hung up on me. I called three other Chevy dealers in my area and asked if this was normal and they all said absolutely not, that they should have fixed the leak! I then called GM customer service and they opened a complaint file and said that the dealership (Youmans) should have further investigated the oil leak, fixed it, then changed the oil and returned the vehicle to us for a consumption test. Worst service department I have ever experienced. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy...no one deserves this type of treatment! More

December 30, 2011 To whom it may concern: I am writing December 30, 2011 To whom it may concern: I am writing to inform you of the outstanding customer service my family and I received from Youmans Chevr December 30, 2011 To whom it may concern: I am writing to inform you of the outstanding customer service my family and I received from Youmans Chevrolet (Macon, Ga). While taking our 3 young children on a family vacation to Blue Ridge, GA the day after Christmas, our Pontiac Montana van experienced mechanical issues. As you can imagine, the drive up from Tampa, Florida, had been stressful knowing the car was malfunctioning and finding a dealership that was open AND had a service center that was open was near impossible. We googled all of the GM dealers on our route and were elated to find that Youmans Chevrolet was not only open and servicing cars, they could help us right away. Dewayne Owens, service consultant, greeted us with such warmth and understanding; we knew we were in good hands. After diagnosing the problem, it was determined that the van would need a new alternator. Unfortunately, part was not in stock and since it was December 26, we were having a difficult time locating it elsewhere. To further complicate the situation, due to the holiday, local car rental companies were also closed. Just when we thought we may be stuck, the generous people at Youmans Chevrolet loaned us a car, a beautiful Chevy Impala, and got us back on the road. We left our van in Macon, in the more than capable hands at Youmans Chevrolet and were able to enjoy our vacation. While we were away, the van was fixed, washed and waiting for us 3 days later. We were so very grateful for their service and kindness and wanted to make sure you knew what an outstanding dealership they are. Sincerely, More
