Bought used 2009 Subaru Forester. Came from NYC to Oswego because the dealership seemed to have a good rating and the sales person (Anita) was very nice and helpful. I check the car out and it seemed to be in rougher condition than what was listed and what I was told. The interior wasn't in top condition and I wasn't told about a small rust spot and a dent in the side. As an internet customer I need as much information (good or bad) before I make the 5.5 hour trip up. I had to ask for the air filters to be changed and when I checked the fluids the coolant was low. It's obvious that they just want to flip used cars without really taking care of them first. It would be nice if they would automatically change the wipers, top off all fluids...and most importantly make sure the vehicle is sound. Only thing they did do without asking was change the oil. After the sale is when all niceties stopped. On the way back to NYC I felt something in the front end, took it directly to my families auto mechanic and turns out the front struts are leaking...something that should had been apparent to their mechanics and then fixed. I tried in vein to get something resolved with the dealership for 2 weeks. Phone calls go directly to voicemail. Emails do not get answered. I sent emails to Jim and Rich with no reply. The 2 phone calls I did get but missed I returned promptly to only get voicemail again...and with no follow up. Not sure about these other ratings, but it was not my experience. I would not recommend this dealership at all. The professionalism and customer care stops right after you put your name on the line. More
I did a great deal of research to find the "perfect" used car at a good price. Using the internet service I set my heart on a Dodge Charger. Mr. Congdon was attentive and helpful and what appeared to be very honest....not the stereo type car sales rep. His attentiveness to detail and overall professionalism was above and beyond! Bob Galloway was a pure delight! As I had been preapproved for financing I expected no great deals on rates but Mr Galloway found me a better rate! Due to the fact I had traveled almost 2 hours I was hoping to bring the car home with me....and Rob made it happen. My wait was acceptable and entertaining to say the least by Mr Galloway. He is a huge attribute to the business. The only true down time I experienced was about ten minutes of which(although I didnt catch her name) I was in an extrememly nice conversation with the Receptionist at the front desk. She waas a delight. From the minute I walked into the beautiful new facility to the moment I drove away the entire experience was above reproach. Thanks to all I encountered and keep up the good work! More

We had to go from the Chevy Silverado 1500 LT to the LS our credit history is a big factory so it was a push to get us approved for a price we could afford and we do realize that things happen. When my husband arrived to pick up the car being told everything was fine and we were all set to go the bank called and required a copy of a W2 leaving my husband sitting stranded at the dealership not knowing if he was getting the truck or not. I in turn had to leave work to get a copy of our W2 and email it to Rich. My husband sat for 3 hours stressed out. He knows this was in-part the banks fault and not the dealership its self but it was extremely stressful and embarrassing none the less. I really like Rich and would recommend him again he really seems to care about the people he works with. This experience although happy with the end results and love our new truck has left a bad taste in our mouth we aren't soon to forget. More

I had a 5pm appointment set up to test drive a used SUV at this dealership. When I arrived, the salesman was on the phone with another customer so I had to wait. 15 minutes later, the salesman met with me at this dealership. When I arrived, the salesman was on the phone with another customer so I had to wait. 15 minutes later, the salesman met with me briefly and stated that he would pull the vehicle to the front of the building so I could see it and take it for a drive. Ten minutes later, he returned and informed me that the vehicle was out of gas and had a dead battery. At this time, I had been there on site for 25 minutes and still had not seen the vehicle. He asked me if I wanted to go out back and look at the vehicle with a flashlight. Really? We venture out back and he hands me a smartphone with a flashlight ap. I check out a few things on the vehicle. Inside passenger door mechanism was broken and front fiberglass bumper was cracked. At this time, I asked if the vehicle was a single owner trade in. The salesman informed me that it was, and that the prior owner had traded in the vehicle on a truck. We then returned to his office. When we got to his office, I asked for the carfax report. As he scrolled down the screen, I noticed something wasn't adding up. It showed that the car was purchased by Burritts from Syracuse Auto Auction, and had been a former lease. I thought you said it was a single owner trade? After that, the salesman became persistent at trying to get me to shake on a purchase deal which I quickly said "I don't think so, I havent even driven it." He assured me that I could come back in the morning and drive it and that a different salesman would be able to help me. After thinking better of it, I decided not to return and to no surprise did not receive a follow up phone call from anybody at the dealership regarding my experience there that evening. I would not recommend this dealership. More

My daughter and I needed to replace our car and truck. We wanted to work with a local dealer as it helps the local economy. I had dealt with Jim ,in the past, when buying a a car for my younger daughter and wanted to work with a local dealer as it helps the local economy. I had dealt with Jim ,in the past, when buying a a car for my younger daughter and he had been very helpful. My older daughter lives in Washington D.C. Her car was totaled just before Christmas and a replacement was needed before her vacation ended.Jim arranged all the paperwork involved in transffering the car So my daughter could drive it back to D.C. In my case, I was in desperate need of a replacement truck. Mine was quite literally falling apart. I stopped in to talk with Jim and he had what I was looking for on the lot. More

I called Burritt Motors to see if the car was still available and it was. Upon arriving, Larry Johnson greeted us and brought the Vet around for out inspection. I asked if it was possible to take it for a test drive with a fellow mechanic friend of mine; Larry was very open to us about taking the car, gave us some quick instructions as to where to go and we were off. Larry was just great, no pressure in selling the car, we stayed in touch, we bargained and agreed on a price that I could live with. I would recommend Barritt Motors to any one, the staff treats you like family, I was very impressed Jim Eaton More

When I visited the site to view the vehicle that I was interested in, Anita did everything she could to make the experience a worthwhile and enjoyable one as I had driven approximately 60 miles to the visit. Between Anita and Rich the deal that was offered to me was one that I truly believe could not have been beat by any other dealer. When I returned to pick the vehicle up, everything was tip top and I had a very short wait time until I was able to drive away in a vehicle that had been fully serviced and cleaned and an outstanding value. I would recommend Burrit Chevrolet to anyone looking for either a new or used vehicle, it was the most pleasurable car buying experience that I have ever encountered in my life. More
