The “service” department’s response was to say that theft or vandalism to the car while ON THEIR LOT was not their problem. With so many other Subaru dealers in the area, I would think they’d try a littler harder to take care of their customers. More

I thought it sounded like a great deal so I decided to go ahead and purchase it. Since I have bought it I have had an issue with it starting when I made the appointment I told them I had a warranty and they said okay, then when I dropped it off for the appointment I was told that I would have to pay to get it looked at. Told them the gas door wasn't opening they said they fixed it the next time I had to get gas it still didn't work, they said they listened to my speakers to see if the speaker was blown but when I got in the car the radio was off. Then last night I got a flat tire because the valve steam cracked and was leaking, I called this morning and was told by kaitlyn that if it was a manufactures defect is was covered other wise not and it was out of pocket. I explained to her I had a spare on and she told me to make an appointment even after I told her i lived an hour away and I really couldn't wait to get it fixed. I told her the warranty was explained to me as anything was covered other then tires, brakes, and rims the only thing she had to say was she wished she could do something but never offered to help out a bit or to have me speak to some else. I told her this is my 5th Subaru and I have always loved them, but this is the first I brought with them and with a warranty, i also told her i feel like the warranty doesn't cover anything and that I will never do business with them again she said sorry wished she could do something and hung up. I work in customer service and this is not how you create lifelong customers, I regret purchasing my legacy from them. Last after I bought my car I brought it in for an oil change that took well over 2hours I had an appointment and all the said was sorry we got backed up and this was after I got my car back, I never had someone come over to me to give me an update while I was sitting there waiting thinking it was just a quick oil change. Bottom line I love Subarus and I will continue to buy Subarus but I will NEVER RETURN TO BURLINGTON SUBARU AGAIN TO PURCHASE A CAR!!! I have had better service at poulin auto and McMahon Chevy who looked at my car that day and got it back on the road in 10minutes, glad to see there are still good quality customer service dealerships out there that care about the customer and not the dollars. Frustrated Brought in at 0730 for a 915 check in time. Did not get to my car until 3:30 still not ready at 5:30. They always say they are short staffed. No relationship to when your service gets done Six hour delay to getting to my car then I had to wait. Car was not washed and I do not have a neat and tidy car but the steering wheel cover was left in the floor. Once I complained the customer service Became better. More

In particular, Sheryl has helped us out a few times in the past with her knowledge and ability to quickly resolve a problem. I brought our Impreza in a few months ago on a Sat PM during a snow storm because the driver's side wiper arm was not working. Thinking I'd have to leave it there for a few days until a service appointment opened up, she grabbed her tools from behind the counter (what customer service person has a toolbox behind the counter?!), showed me how to access the bolt, and had the wiper working in 2 minutes. Prior to that, during the summer, I was commenting that our Forester required oil being added between oil changes, which had me concerned that if the oil light went on I could damage the engine if I wasn't able to top it up immediately. She gave me a complete explanation of how much oil is left when the sensor is triggered and how much I would need to add, which was spot on. I really appreciated the reassurances. Moved to VT 2 years ago, and prices are competitive in comparison to previous locations. Sometimes it takes a while to get a non-urgent service appointment, but that's a good indication of popularity/satisfaction. More

There were many reasons, but the most ridiculous was that I was put in charge of finding my own parts when the dealer could not locate them for a scheduled repair. I scheduled the recall appointment more than a month out, and when I brought the vehicle in they did have the part to complete the work. If they didn't have the part for a known recall appointment, why was I not notified? They insisted the part would not be in for 6 months, but that if I tried to get the part myself things would go faster. After nearly daily phone calls with different Subaru parts dealers I located my own part. I have never been responsible for getting my own parts for repairs by a mechanic or service department in my life. Ridiculous. In addition to all of this, the lack of communication, lack of respect for the customer, inability to finish the work in the timeline that they proposed (both times the car went in they kept the car for an extra day as the work did not get completed when they said it would), inappropriate service charges and lack of follow through were all sub par. In short, if you are considering Burlington Subaru for service, go elsewhere. A previous reviewer stated that the culture there seems "shady" and I agree. They are terrible. More

I arrived at 7:30am and was told my car would be finished by no later than 9:00am so I was fine with waiting. I waited over TWO HOURS. I did not arrive to work until almost 10:00am. When my service was finished I was not told where my vehicle was parked. I asked and was told "It's somewhere over there. Just use your panic button and listen for it." Really? I have never been to a service facility that made you play hide-and-go-seek with your car. Also, it wasn't even parked in the general direction I was told to go in. After wandering aimlessly for a few minutes I walked all the way around to the front of the dealership where I found my car. I get into my car to find an oatmeal raisin cookie. Nice gesture, but if you're going to provide bad service you better make it chocolate chip. More
Poor Service Stopped in as my wife's 2015 Forester has a loud noise coming from the left front. I was told either a bearing or spindle. I went to Burlington Subaru Stopped in as my wife's 2015 Forester has a loud noise coming from the left front. I was told either a bearing or spindle. I went to Burlington Subaru for the repair..it is warranty work. I was offered an appointment 10 days out. I explained it was my wife's car and was concerned about the safety of driving it. Could you at least check it. No!! Matt Luce offered..drop it off...and we will try to get to it by the 21st..!! Really..!!! He could just care less about customer safety. I said that's not the kind of service I'm looking for. I left...and came back in 10 seconds later. He and Ashley were laughing. Obviously at me from the looks on their faces. I will never return and never recommend them again. Family members have bought several cars here..the last a new Imprezza...and I mean the LAST!!!!. More

The Purchase: I bought my ISM '14 WRX Hatch through Jen Gazzola who worked with me to get a great deal on the car, after coming close to purchasing a car through a NJ dealership (I thought I got a great deal there). I live in the area so I figured it was worth a shot to see if they could match the price. They matched it even with some tacked on extras coming in under invoice. New cars from Burlington also come with free loaner cars during service and state inspections. Since I planned on staying in the area this was a big plus. The Service: For better or worse, the service department knows me on a first name basis. My WRX has been less than stellar in the reliability department, but between this service team and Subaru of America, they have eased the pain. The free loaner car turned out to be huge for me as my car has spent weeks in the shop at times. I've come to them humbly with issues - large and small - and they always do their best to get it taken care of. They've made mistakes on a few things, but I've also had to accept constructive criticism from them on my operation of the vehicle. Ultimately I want to prevent the issues from reoccurring, as do they, so our communication is open and effective for the most part. They probably hate me for how many issues I bring up about the car, but I try to keep my vehicles in tip-top shape. I think they recognize how aware I am with the car and they respect that. Some of the suggestions I made to fix the car or things I caught early on prevented more damage from occurring. I also do my own maintenance and they don't have a problem with it as long as I keep the receipts. This paid off when my engine required a rebuild, Subaru honored the warranty because I followed their oil recommendations along with severe duty change intervals. The recommendations: While at the dealership waiting for a service, I test drove another WRX for the heck of it. I actually went so far as to recommend it to a friend. He ended up buying it (after considering a WRX for years). Many would run from my car as it makes a strong lemon case, but I'm starting to push past the teething issues and actually enjoy it, the best part of owning a new car. A performance one at that. Burlington Subaru has gone above and beyond for me and to the best of my knowledge has been honest throughout. I do try my best not to be a jerk when I'm not happy with something - which I'm sure they appreciate! More

In purchasing, a few years ago they tried to sell me the same car - at the same price with a higher monthly payment over a longer period. Same terrible experience with the service dept, my local mechanic performed and identified a known issue with Subaru vehicles and I contacted 1 person who initially scheduled my appointment a month out because he was too overwhelmed with changing tires. Then when I brought it in, they doubted everything I said and told me that unless it's registering a check engine light that the BROKEN part that is under warranty, will just be a nuisance because they wouldn't do anything about it. horrible experience Brought a 3 year old vehicle in for an inspection. They failed it for wear parts that I had recently replaced myself. I brought the vehicle to another Brought a 3 year old vehicle in for an inspection. They failed it for wear parts that I had recently replaced myself. I brought the vehicle to another garage in the area. Not just a mom and pop shop. They passed it no problem. They are just trying to get a fast buck. I will never recommend this dealership. It's a shame because I love Subarus. I will go out of my way to not do business with these con artists. They give mechanics a bad name. I figured I would be nice and email the dealer before posting on sites like this. They then started the groveling and asking to reinspect the car. Why would I do this? You already proved you have no idea what you are talking about. Do it right the first time and you don't have to worry about repairing your reputation. The counter people were at least nice. More
