This is a complaint for fraudulent business practices against this dealership involving, among other things, the following: When I originally purchased a new 2009 Kia Spectra in June of 2009, part of th against this dealership involving, among other things, the following: When I originally purchased a new 2009 Kia Spectra in June of 2009, part of the sales agreement was a “guarantee” or “promise” of free tires for the life of the vehicle as long as all of the required maintenance was done at this dealership . When it came time to redeem my free tire offer, I spoke with the Service Manager, Bob Owens, who confirmed that I was in compliance with the maintenance schedule and said he would order the tires and, at that time, made an appointment date and time to have then installed. The free tires for life offer indicates that the replacement tires would be of ”like” kind, in this case, the tires that the vehicle came with are Goodyears. When I arrived for my appointment, I asked to see the replacement tires that were going to be installed. Mr. Owens did not seem happy about my query, but went in the back and returned with a sample tire indicating that these were the ones that were going to be put on my car. When I saw the tire, I noted that it was a “Doral” tire, which is a very low grade tire and nothing “like” the Goodyear tires that are on the car. I asked Mr. Owens if these tires were “like” tires (as promised in the guarantee) compared to Goodyears and he became very irate saying, “I don’t know, I’m not a lawyer?” He also said, “you get the tires that my service people order, do you want them or not”. At this point, I asked to speak with the GM of the dealership. I was told that he would be in “about and hour or so”. (This behavior was noted by another customer who was there for service and he later told me in the waiting area that he was “surprised” by how I was treated by a so-called “Service Manager). It was only when I could not get a satisfactory answer to my questions from Mr. Owens that I asked to speak to the GM. I waited for over an hour and a half in the waiting area to try to speak with the GM, Marcus DeAngelis. He never arrived. I left several voice mail messages for him later in the day and the following Monday morning, which were not returned. I showed up at the dealership the following Monday evening unannounced and was finally able to track down the GM. After giving me several excuses, none of which were legitimate, as to why I would not be getting the proper replacement tires, He then said that I was not entitled to any tires at all because he deemed that I had not had “every” single maintenance done, according to their maintenance schedule. I did, in fact, have all of the maintenance done at this dealership since the time I bought the car. I told Mr. DeAngelis that his statement was totally contradictory to my prior telephone conversation with his Service Manager, Mr. Owens, wherein Mr. Owens confirmed that I was in compliance with the maintenance schedule and that he would order the tires, also evidenced by the fact that Mr. Owens scheduled the appointment for the installation and gave me a date and time to arrive. Mr. DeAngelis denied any knowledge that Mr. Owens had this conversation with me, indicating that he could not have ordered the tires and made an appointment to have them installed, because he did not have the “authority” to do so. After arguing back and forth, to no avail, I told him that I would be filing a complaint for fraudulent business practices with the BBB and Department of Consumer Affairs. His reply was, “okay, go ahead”. After that statement, I left his office and the dealership. They also ripped me off on the original purchase the car, so I should have known better to trust that they would make good on their so-called free tire offer. More
I'm a Cherry Hill Kia refugee. The difference is night and day in a good way. They took great care of me and didn't blow me off. I went in with an air conditioning problem that Cherry Hill Kia said was a "tissue" stuck in the vent. They didn't even bother to check the actual unit to see if it had a problem. I called the corporate office and they were no help. I was totally DONE with Kia until I just happened to call Bob and ask for help. Bob and his crew got right on it and it turned out the ac condensor was leaking which was covered under the warranty, YAY!!. They ordered the part, which took a couple of days, installed it and I'm ready for the summer. More
Mr. Miller was very friendly and responsive to us. We pulled up at 5:15pm, when the hours stated they were open until 6pm. Two visits and enjoying it so far. Carl has been friendly on both visits and I thought the deals on the oil changes were pretty good.
