I was looking for a new Chevrolet Cruze Eco with a manual transmission and contacted Burien Chevrolet via Chevrolet.com dealer online form regarding a particular car. I was contacted by Mr. Peter Ventrella a transmission and contacted Burien Chevrolet via Chevrolet.com dealer online form regarding a particular car. I was contacted by Mr. Peter Ventrella and after a series of emails on Friday he offered me the car I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. On Saturday morning I received a phone call from Mr. Ventrella on my home phone, which he obviously found online (I did not share it in prior communication). Mr. Ventrella was very insistent that I went to the dealership that same day. I had to change my plans for the day but since I wanted the car, I made an appointment to test drive it and buy it between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. that night. My wife and I arrived at Burien Chevrolet around 6:50 and asked for Peter. Another salesperson told us that Peter was out to dinner but she would call him and show us the Chevy Cruze cars while Peter got back . By the entrance of the dealership there was a white board with all the appointments for the day, my name and time of appointment listed too… We started looking at the cars on the lot and sure enough 10 minutes later Peter showed up. He started with something like: “So what car were you interested in?” and my reply was “The Red Chevy Cruze Eco with the red/black interior we have been talking about for the past two days”. “Hm, I don’t think I have this car on the lot. It must be somewhere in transit, I can find out where it is”, “???????????, OK, can I drive another manual Eco?”, “Sure”, we start walking the lot and looking at each of the dozen or so Cruzes, none of them is a manual Eco, “Why do you want a manual? Would you like to test drive an automatic?”, steam blowing out of my ears, “You have wasted my wife’s and my time today, Peter. You cheated me into coming to the dealership when you don’t have the car you promised me or even another similar one”, Peter throws his hands in the air – “You are being unreasonable”. I was being unreasonable?! We storm out of Burien Chevrolet, go to Good Chevrolet and by 10:30 that night a new red Cruze is parked in our garage. The next day Peter’s buddy from Burien Chevrolet calls us to tell us that our car is there… I would not have bought it from them even if it were the last Chevy on Earth! The audacity of those people! Burien Chevy has been great since the new ownership of the Anderson Brothers. They also own Burien Toyota. They implemented the same buying process at the Chevy store as they have at the Toyota store. Als the Anderson Brothers. They also own Burien Toyota. They implemented the same buying process at the Chevy store as they have at the Toyota store. Also some of the employees from the other store were set up to take over the Chevy store. It seems to me that you can not make EVERYONE happy in life, but I have NEVER had a bad experiance. I will continue to buy my vehicles from this auto group. More
I have now purchased 2 cars from Burien Chevrolet. My experience both times has been above and beyond what I have experienced at other dealerships in the past. I have also had both cars in for their regu experience both times has been above and beyond what I have experienced at other dealerships in the past. I have also had both cars in for their regular service with Megan. I have had good experiences with both the sales and service department. My next purchase and service will no doubt be from this dealership. Great job! More
I'd been using Burien Chevrolet for some time when this happened. I'd been through a lot with them. Engine needed replacing because it threw a rod. $4,800 that cost me. Water pump went out. $290 that cost happened. I'd been through a lot with them. Engine needed replacing because it threw a rod. $4,800 that cost me. Water pump went out. $290 that cost me. Every issue I had, I brought my car too them. I get an SES light and I bring it to them, they tell me an oxygen sensor is out and must be replaced. I order the part from them for install. They install it. I see on the wall a poster promoting AC Delco parts and the quality of these American made parts. I trust they are quality no doubt. What really was a seller was that the Poster ALSO stated the following parts came with "Lifetime Warranties", including parts like Water Pumps, AND Oxygen sensors. I notice on my bill that there is no star next to the water pump ( a star like so * means it is a Lifetime warranted part ). So I ask the cashier/service specialist lady about this, and she gives me the blankest, dumbest stare like I asked her the square root of something. I hate to be harsh, but people with no obvious knowledge of automobiles should not be a "service specialist", but anyways she sends me to the gentlemen at the counter, Dwayne, and I ask why no star is present indicating a lifetime warranty. He laughs out loud, and says quote "Oxygen sensors are disposable parts, they go out no matter what and we don't warrant them forever." I pressed a little harder and his superior backs him up and says to some effect "GM recently changed their standards of what is warranted to life, Oxygen sensors no longer are in that category." I asked him why the poster was on the wall, literally 3 feet from him, saying otherwise. He just shrugged his chubby shoulders. I was young, naive, and 19 at the time so I didn't pry it. I think back now and I feel abused, like perhaps my youth was taken advantage of. I now do my own mechanics, but I never once returned to Burien Chevrolet. And that was 3 years ago. I plan on keeping that streak. More
I pretty much agree with the last negative review of this dealership. I bought a 2008 3500HD Silverado that was in an accident on their lot after I dropped it off a couple of days after getting it for a bed dealership. I bought a 2008 3500HD Silverado that was in an accident on their lot after I dropped it off a couple of days after getting it for a bed liner and a tool box to be installed. The sales manager Bobby accused me of asking for a handout after I asked for a truck loaner instead of an old beat up Chevy Malibu...Those were his exact words. "hand out" I'm a contractor and since my brand new truck I had just purchased was going to be in the shop for over a week, I didn't think that was an unreasonable request. It just really irritated me that I came in there and paid over $50,000 for a truck that was already in an accident before I could even really use it. They told me the guy from the bed liner company was the one driving it when it was crashed, so they pretty much said they didn't have to do a thing for me. All I asked them for was a truck... And after almost a week they finally did, but I had to mention I was thinking about getting an attorney involved to get them to act on anything. So after getting the truck back I asked the salesman Steve Olson if they resprayed the Simonize coating that I paid an extra $800 or something for on the panel that had to be repainted, and the guy wouldn't return my call. That guy Steve Olson is a gem... He fits the stereotypical car salesman. He pretty much told me wrong facts about the truck he sold me and lied over and over when I was going to get the truck no matter what. The guy is just a little rat of a man. I've told everyone that has asked about my truck about Burien Chevrolet and am pretty sure that none of the other contractors I know will ever go there. In fact last month I was at a friends house and I noticed he had Steve Olson's card on his kitchen counter because I guess he was ready to pull the trigger on a new rig, but I had to remind him of who Steve Olson was and he for sure didn't buy his truck there. This was the first time I ever bought a Chevy truck and I'm almost thinking that I probably wouldn't again. For some reason every Chevy dealership I've been to has botched simple jobs. But, Burien Chevy is by far the worst. At least the other dealerships that mess up, try and make things right to get you to come back. It's called customer service. I'm sure if Bobby or Steve read this, they will know exactly who I am. I hope you guys go out of business:) More
to make a long story short i made these guys a offer over the phone with my trade. they said yes but they would have to see my trade. i agreed and drove it down there. after an hour of standing around they b the phone with my trade. they said yes but they would have to see my trade. i agreed and drove it down there. after an hour of standing around they brought me a piece of paper that showed my truck at 6k 2 grand below NADA poor condition trade in value witch is in fair condition and claimed that they paid 2 grand over NADA retail from the wholesale auction. for a total of $8500 more than we agreed on before i wasted my day drving down there. my biggest complaint is that i told them exactly what my trade was and that it booked at 8 grand. i can understand them saying theyll give me 6 for my trade but where did the other $6500 come from? I was having trouble with getting any type of value out of my suv as a trade at other dealerships I went to burien chevy and not only got what I wanted for value I also got employee pricing. The combinatio of my suv as a trade at other dealerships I went to burien chevy and not only got what I wanted for value I also got employee pricing. The combination of that plus the quick financing process made the experience an easy one which is not always the case when shopping for a new vehicle so that can be appreciated. More
When I got to the dealership, the salesman helped me find a Tahoe and drive it. I liked it and we went inside. Everything was fine until some big, fat guy named Bobby came out and started talking. Watch o a Tahoe and drive it. I liked it and we went inside. Everything was fine until some big, fat guy named Bobby came out and started talking. Watch out for this "slick Rick." In trying to get his best price, he just kept talking in circles like a wind-up toy. I think the guy got his education at boarding school for farm boys. He was aweful. Anyways, I bought from Good. Got a great deal and was much easier to deal with. I can't even believe Warren Moon puts his name on this dealership. Burien Chevrolet should just change its name to "White-trash" Chevrolet. Maybe when the third run-way is fully operational the experience at Burien Chevrolet will get better because the plane was drowned out the sales manager's voice. Maybe if he gets on the treadmill, he might get a few brain cells back. Its amazing what happens to a persons brain when you give them a "salesmanager" title and some spending money. More
