I was very excited about purchasing a vehicle I was following for some time on Burdick Mazda's website. On Monday I finally had a chance to test drive the 2024 Mazda CX-5, that had less than 2100 miles following for some time on Burdick Mazda's website. After he let me and my wife take the car out for a test drive, we sat down to discuss options. This is where things started to go strangely. We explained what we were looking for and he asked if we could come back a different day. This was the first time I ever had a Sales Person at a dealership asked us to walk out the door. He inferred that the manager that would get us the best deal was off and he wanted to work with him. He would contact us with the information provided by his manager. My wife and I said fine, and drove home. The next day, came and went with no response. I did not want to seem to eager, so I waited until Wednesday and texted Julien. Finally, 3 hours after I reached out, Julien responded via text. At least we were now talking numbers and negotiating a deal. I wanted to come back in on that Wednesday, but Julien, once again preferred I come back in on Thursday. At around 4pm he text me he would talk with his Appraisal Manager right now. That was the last time he text me. Now I am frustrated even more. I just wanted to buy a car. Thursday came and still no response. Completely Ghosted!!! I text Julien twice and even called and left a voicemail. Nothing, complete silence. Finally, Friday comes and I call the dealership and explain my disappointment regarding the situation and looking to possibly speak to a different Sales Person. The person who answered did offer to transfer me to Julien, which I said ok, but she came back stating he was working, but could not be located. I was fine with that and asked to speak to a manager. The customer rep transferred me to a manager, which I was driving at the time, so I never got his name. I explained the situation and he was very accommodating. He was willing to work with me. I explained would prefer to call back once I was at home, about 20 minutes later and he agreed. I called my wife to let her know. As I was speaking to my wife, I received another call from that manager. I took the call. The manager informed me the car had been sold earlier that day. The first thing that came to mind was BAIT & SWITCH. I was extremely devastated and disappointed. The deal would have been done days earlier, if I wasn't left out to dry. This is why car dealers get such a bad reputation. Needless to say, I don't feel comfortable dealing with Burdick in any way. My wife teaches business in a local high school and she is ready to tell all her students the story of what happens when you don't take care of your customers. Not good. More
My vehicle purchase went very professional and smooth. My sales person, Ariel Szkolnik, was in training with J.D. Wiggins and my vehicle purchase was her first sale ever. General Sales Manager, Tom Major, assisted/guided Ariel on my first visit there to do the test drive. When I went back days later to finalize the vehicle purchase, everything was in place and set to go in accounting office with Alex, I signed all the papers, they gave me a vehicle feature run through and I was out of there in 1 hour, all signed sealed and delivered. They are a great sales force team. I purchased a 2025 Nissan Frontier SV which is not showing up as [SALES NEW] drop-down menu below, so I selected [SALES USED] in order to select Nissan/Frontier. I took my 2007 Miata to Burdick Mazda on July 6th, dropping it off for a service appointment at 8:30 a.m. on July 7th. I got a video from the technician at roughly 6:30 p.m. on the 7th explaining what work needed to be done. I've gotten service videos before and this was easily the best I have received! I've had the car back for several days now and the work appears to have been properly completed. Based on the quality of the service I would have given the dealership a qualified 5 stars, needing more time to assess the service that was done. However, the communications was so poor I can't justify more than 2 stars for the overall rating. Other than the initial contact to confirm the reason for the service, I received one call from Burdick, which was in response to my call and message. If I hadn't contacted them I wouldn't have known that they wanted to keep my car for about a week before the work would be done. The parts were available but the technician was backed up. I asked if I could pick up my Miata and bring it back when they were ready to work on it. I was told I would have to pay for the parts first and lose my place in line. I was offered a loaner vehicle, which I declined as I wanted my fun car repaired and back in my hands, and I could wait as long as it would be done in several days. I'll leave out the rest of the details, but after having an appointment for July 7th, I got my car back on July 23rd. The staff I talked to were all pleasant but the communications was as bad as it can get. More
I had the best experience with Driver's Village Burdick Mazda than any other dealership I've been to. I went in with an idea in mind and left with brand new truck after looking at 5 and testing driving 2. Mazda than any other dealership I've been to. Kyle Oram the Sales Manager worked the best deal and James Clark our Sales Specialist was a dream to work with. Knew exactly what we were looking for and got me in my dream truck! More
