Great experience I have been searching for a used corvette for about 6 months. Was told by a couple of corvette owners that Santa Paula Chevrolet was a corvette dealer I have been searching for a used corvette for about 6 months. Was told by a couple of corvette owners that Santa Paula Chevrolet was a corvette dealer that was committed to buying and dealing in select used corvettes. They had two cars I did research on and went down to test drive. No hassles or expectations from the dealer. My wife and I found the one we liked. We where introduced to "Izzy Vargas". A true gentleman and professional. No pressure and no running around. I was able to come very close to the deal I offered and was confident that we had a financial agreement that was extremely competitive. My request to have the car hoisted to view the under side was met with no hesitation. After seeing that cars underside I was ready to finish the financial agreement. After the purchase, the Dealership Owner, John Macik came up and introduced himself. He was interested in our experience and satisfaction. I really didn't think I would qualify for a new car but Izzy Vargas made it happen'! he definitely knows the business but even more that he knows how to treat customers: respect, friendliness, straight talk and positive attitude. There was no pushiest and no false promises. I was thoroughly happy with the process. This was the first time ever that I didn't get a migraine headache while listening to the salesmans spiel. Thanks John and Izzy We've purchased many cars in the past. We were ready to buy an new one and we were dreading going to the dealership. We had shopped around a lot. Most of the salesmen knew little or nothing about the vehicles we were test driving. What they didn't know they made up. Some sat in the back seat playing on their cell phones on test drives. When you would ask a question they would try to read the window sticker from the inside. Then they would try to get you inside to talk numbers and blah blah blah. I have a very short patience span so I didn't want to sit around for four hours while the salesman pretends to goes back and forth to the Manager and comes back with ridiculous payments and down payments and drawing crosses on a piece of paper and generally wasting our time. We decided to take a ride to Santa Paula and see what they had. John gave us a test drive and he actually let us drive the car on the freeway. He seemed to know a lot about the car. My wife really liked the Equinox, although I was hoping for a Corvette. We went into their little office out there in the parking lot which was a lot more relaxing than a bright showroom. They talked financing and etc. My wife wanted a red Equinox but they didn't have one in stock. We looked around the used car area and she saw a red one and decided she didn't care for the color that much. We decided we wanted a white one and John went and found one on the back lot that was still wrapped up. Anyway, to make a long story short. John and Izzy made our experience there fast and easy. I would definitely recommend these guys and SP Chevrolet to a friend. (if I had any) but I will recommend them to anyone whose thinking of buying a car. PS. Usually the worst part of buying a car is the F and I dept. But we made it through there in record time and I'm sorry I cant remember his name, but if you read this, Thanks for the little shopping cart. Also when we picked the car up the next day, John hooked up my wifes cell phone and showed us how to use all the electronic crap that comes with new cars. About 6 months ago I started my online research comparing the Tahoe to the Suburban. As I built my dream model online I got a pop-up from Santa Paula Chevrolet asking if I needed help. I closed the window and continued building and comparing the models. The next day I received a call from Izzy Vargas asking if I had any questions. At that time we weren't ready to finalize a purchase. Giving up my Tahoe wasn't easy, it was the car that I brought home each one of my babies. The car that we drove to school, amusement parks and dance recitals. It was the car that never, ever, let me down. Yet I knew driving a car to 185,000 miles was more than I could ask for.
