We purchased our new Hyundai about 4 months ago. Jeff Aderman was our sales person and I also had the occasion to talk with both Duane and Randy during our purchase process. Visited Buerkle Hyundai with the intent on purchasing our second Hyundai from this dealership. The first purchase (Tucson) went OK but still had many issues (see below). Decided on the Elantra and tradin second Hyundai from this dealership. The first purchase (Tucson) went OK but still had many issues (see below). Decided on the Elantra and trading in our current vehicle. Mike Holm said he would call us on Monday (2-days later)and give us status on an Elantra and a price on our trade.....didn't hear anything so I called him late Monday. He had no information but promised to call me right away the following morning with information on both. Well here we are 2 weeks later........yes 2 weeks later and I have yet to hear anything from Mike Holm. Even after speaking to the sales manager (Randy Heiser,I believe) I have yet to hear from anything from him....not even an apology for leaving us hanging. This seems to be the normal game playing that happens with this dealer, as many times even during our first purchase we were promised information and it would take many days to hear anything back.....I almost always ended up having to call to get information. This is not isolated to Mike Holm but seems to be a management issue as we've experienced this lack of customer concern in many areas of Buerkle Hyundai. Here are just a very few of our experiences over the last 8 months: •Several times we were left hanging with promises to call us on status of the Tucson when purchasing. I always had to call to find out what was going on. •I never did hear anything back from Mike Holm on the pricing of an accessory, the rearview mirror (with temp readout)for our Tucson. Several continued promises, but as is normal these promises of getting back to me with pricing information never happened, so I ended up just giving up on it. •I called Brian Coyle in service about a 3M dealer installed option that we had problems with. I left 2 voice mails over the course of 2 weeks with absolutely no response from Brian. • I then emailed Mike Holm to assist with this issue - Took another 2 weeks to respond and take any action on this issue. This is only after I had to email Mike again to remind him about it. Total of 4 weeks and many requests just for a simple warranty request. •The service department took over 1 month to respond about a request on expanding service hours. This was after several requests from me for a response. Their service and parts dept. hours are not in the customers best interest as they are only open during a customers normal daytime working hours. •I asked about Buerkle's online service scheduling as it has a technical glitch issue with availability that needs to be fixed. I went to 3 different people, each time all I got was excuses and no resolution. Telling me to talk to someone else each time. Nobody took ownership of the problem and blew me off. I gave up on it. •I picked up my Tucson from the service department with strong gasoline smell throughout the interior of vehicle. I complained but all I got was a shrug of the shoulders from the service tech. Took 3 days for this smell to go away. No follow-up call to check into issue from Buerkle. •Now it's been over 2 weeks with not so much as an email or phone call when I was promised status the very next morning on trade-in and vehicle status. What's up Mike Holm???? If you don't want our trade or don't want to sell us a car be honest and tell us what the issue is, don't play games and blow us off. At the time of this writing I have yet to hear anything from anyone at Buerkle Hyundai. I could write more but at this point I think you get the point. Is this the way Buerkle treats their customers? Seems like it’s a big problem with Buerkle that is widespread and needs management to make some big changes. We’re done playing games with Buerkle Hyundai and will go to a dealership that cares. I won't set foot in this dealership again and will make sure I let others know how we were treated. We did purchase our Elantra Limited and got an excellent trade-in offer at a different Hyundai dealer. All within 1 hour.....No games like Buerkle is playing. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of Buerkle Hyundai dealership....You'll save yourself some big time frustration. There are other much better ran dealerships in the Twin Cities area that honestly care about the customer. I think my wife and I deserve an apology and explanation as to why Mike Holm snubbed us and never got back when trying to purchase a new vehicle. But, I'm probably expecting to much aren't I? More
I was frustrated because my "air pressure light" came on for the 3rd time in about a month. We already put Nitro into the tires as recommended twice. So I came into the service department and Ben asked how he could help. I explained that I was crabby about my light coming on again....it is frustrating. I was frustrated. Ben explained how come the "air pressure light" comes on some times with air pressure changes. If all tires were a little low, it was a good guess it was cold weather air pressure changes. If he found that one tire was really low, then that tire was probably the problem. This time he read the tire pressure with me present to show me, and then recommend they check the tire that was low as the other three were fine. They ended up finding a leak that could be fixed the tire for $31.56. But the impact of Ben taking the time to listen to what I had experienced up to this point, explained what could be the problem and show me how he was going to detect the problem. He was very professional, patient, and effective. I really like my Hyundai Sonata and now I should be comfortable driving it on the highway again. I really recommend Ben Endres as a professional, and effective business associate of Buerkle Hyundia. Thanks, Becky G. More
