Grand Jeep Cherokee Purchase When we arrived at the dealership, Joy came outside immediately to help us and we were test driving vehicles in just a few minutes of our arrival. I w When we arrived at the dealership, Joy came outside immediately to help us and we were test driving vehicles in just a few minutes of our arrival. I was looking for a 4 wheel drive vehicle that would be comfortable for daily driving and off road adventures but I didn't want a truck. After driving a few different vehicles I decided on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. I don't like to change cars very often so I was trading in my 18 year old Acura 3TL which was a great car. The manager gave me blue book, which wasn't really much but I didn't expect very much for an 18 year old car with a lot of dents and a torn leather drivers seat. it was still hard to let her go but I have been driving my new Jeep for a couple of weeks now and I am very happy with her. Joy let me know about the engine shutting off at every stop to save gas and said that I might not like that and here is how you turn that feature off but it hasn't really bothered me so I let it save me gas. I do wish I could have talked them down a bit more but I don't really like the back and forth dickering that comes with buying a car so I paid a bit more than I wanted too. It took most of the afternoon to complete the transaction and because it took so long they threw in the 3 oil change special they were running which was nice and they certainly did not have to do that, but it was appreciated. Norman in the accounting office had everything ready for us to sign when we arrived and went over everything in detail. I added the wind shield treatment and was told that I would get a window treatment kit to take home so that I could apply it again myself when it wore off. I was also told that when the kit was consumed I could call the company and get more any time I wanted as it was free for life. This turned out to be incorrect information. There is no kit. You don't go home with anything to reapply later and there is no company that you can call to get an endless free supply to reapply later. I don't think I would have spent the money for this particular treatment if I had known that the free part didn't really exist. I'm thinking that the management should hold a meeting and ask all employees to refrain from giving out this false information. I don't think they are doing it intentionally, I think they have just been miss informed. This is our 4th vehicle that we have purchased from this dealership and we have had all of our vehicles serviced at this dealership as well and all in all we have been very happy with both. More
