We brought our vehicle in for a 20,000 mile check and oil change on October 15.We left it and they also found a tire needed to be replaced so they kept it overnight. After picked up the car the same check engine light was still on from when we left it. I tried call after we got home and only got vmail. Thinking it was an easy reset I finally called today and they told me there's a meter that may reset if it was missed when they were finished. Steve who spoke to today was nice enough to say he'd do it.Otherwise the next appointment available was November 15th. First we live in Western Shawnee and getting service is a pain that requires 2 people to leave one vehicle. Secondly this is our sons car who goes to KU and doesn't come home till the weekends. It's ridiculous that because somebody couldn't see a check engine light that we have to make arrangements to get back to Bud Brown for service. More
My experience started out great with Jason who was professional courteous and valued our time and was patient through multiple test drives and getting Keys for other vehicles as well. I felt we were close to making a deal until he introduced GM Rick Pringle who lost the sale through his arrogance. He acted offended that a customer would want to get as much out of their vehicle and/or buy new one at the cheapest price. He asked what I did followed up by saying “this isn’t your business” since I am only an engineer and not car dealer. If I am the one paying for it, it is my business and my business is to get the most for my current car and pay the least for my new one. A dealer can always say no without belittling you. It is unfortunate this is all over $1000 that I would have been willing to come down some off of. Luckily there are other dealers out there with this same car at a better price. More
Really great experience, not use to that from other dealers. Bud Brown was great. Steve in service was straight forward and no extra up sales. This dealership is at war with all other VW dealerships, even when it comes to customer safety. If you are considering them...RUN! Especially service. No one who has purchased a VW from another dealership is safe at BUD BROWN. They will let you leave with parts outside of safety standards, and then blame the other dealerships. More
Most recently, the Parts Department did not notify customer when the engine cover part arrived.I called weeks later and they had the part. The second lack of parts dept. notification for the owners ma customer when the engine cover part arrived.I called weeks later and they had the part.
