Alys, I appreciate your making me aware of the situation and it has allowed me an opportunity to review and assist our team in attaining better customer satisfaction. As indicated by our many 5-star reviews, we not only work hard, but strive for complete customer satisfaction. I am sorry to hear about your auto being involved in a fire and sorry that you are now forced to look for a vehicle in a thin market. I researched your case, reviewed the call logs and transcripts and have take the opportunity to use this experience to make my team better. I do need to correct a few items (which is why I tried to call). In reviewing I found that you did not want to commit to the first Telluride you called about without driving it and another customer did purchase it immediately after your conversations, there was no preferential treatment or falsehoods as you indicated. That deal was lost to you because someone else purchased it, before you got here. The next item I found was the statement that they have "reached their sales goal this month and already got their bonuses so they didn't want to sell it until November 1st so they could get more commissions next month". Actually, you wished to purchase a vehicle that is not here and will not be here in this calendar month. Kia does not allow us to report vehicles sold before their arrival. This causes issues in reporting and allocations when they cross calendar months. My team is not paid by commissions and that was never mentioned. My team is paid on 2 things earning your business and customer satisfaction, we are a no commission zone. Finally, I understand your desire to shop for the best deal as we are hours away and you apparently, through dealers mentioned, have found what the current “market value” is. I will not condone or allow a “market adjustment” on our vehicles, nor will our owner. We do install some dealer equipment that even at the $2797 pricing is less than what other dealers are adding for nothing. Many are trading in new cars for more than they paid for them in this current market. I would even need to spend more that the price quoted to you to purchase a similar vehicle at the dealer auctions. I have been in this business for a long time and am surprised at what I see. As with many items like housing and more, supply and demand dictates market value. When dealers have many sitting around deals are out there but that is not the case. You are not trading due to your fire but if trading you would not allow me to pay thousands less than its value... why am I required to do so? I wish you the best in your search and hope that you find the vehicle you seek at the price you wish to pay. Keith
