Small car economy in a big truck I've had my Ram 1500 Big Horn EcoDiesel for a couple months now, and I am totally pleased with it. I recently took it for a 500 mile run from home in I've had my Ram 1500 Big Horn EcoDiesel for a couple months now, and I am totally pleased with it. I recently took it for a 500 mile run from home in south-central PA to visit family in far-western PA, and after going back and forth over the mountains (not on the turnpike), I averaged 28.6 MPG. There was no lack of power on the hills, either. The eight-speed transmission is so smooth that you have to be watching the tach to see that it has changed gears a lot of the time. My dealer installed options were installed in a timely manner and are functioning as designed. No other services have been required, to date. It isn't cheap, but I feel that it is a good truck for the long-haul. More
