I am sorry this happened to you. May I ask which vehicle you had inquired about and what your name is? I will investigate and try to get you a better answer than what you have now. If it was a 2004 F-250 Lariat in white, we were unaware of the mileage discrepancy when we took it in trade. Later, when it came to light, I had been trying to get a new employee with management experience to get to the bottom of the concern and see if it was a mistake in titling or, if in fact, the mileage was actually higher than it showed on the odometer. We had not passed that on to our sales staff because I thought it would be a quick resolution one way or another and then we would determine what to do. During that time, my son was at the height of his senior baseball season at UW-Whitewater and I had a lot of scheduled afternoons out of the office. I depended upon my staff to get a resolution and they never did it. When I heard someone was interested in the vehicle, I jumped up and asked what we had found about the mileage and I was told no one knew how to check into this. I love owning a small town Ford dealership, but unfortunately I end up wearing many hats. I will take the blame for this, because I should have found a way to resolve it myself, rather than depending upon someone I felt was qualified to take care of it. We did sell the truck to a person who said it didn't matter to him if the mileage was inaccurate or not. We did disclose it and he knew what he was getting. We definitely should have offered you that opportunity. Again, I am very sorry for the manner in which you were treated. I am very interested in the particular vehicle and your name to be sure I investigate properly and ensure this doesn't happen to any of our guest ever again. I thank you for helping me.
