I went to purchase a certified used Toyota from this dealer that I saw on the web. It was a 2006 Camry LE V6. It was to replace a 1998 Camry that I had for 11 years. The salesman greeted me as expect dealer that I saw on the web. It was a 2006 Camry LE V6. It was to replace a 1998 Camry that I had for 11 years. The salesman greeted me as expected, and I asked to see the particular used car that interested me. I told him, at least once, that this was my very first day of looking at cars and I would not be buying without shopping around. He got me the car, we drove it around, chatted a bit, and then came the high sales pressure. In a nutshell, he would not give me his card nor let me leave when I wanted to think about it. "What can we do to help you buy the car now?", and things like that. He worked up the final price, gave me the worksheet and I said once again I need to think about it...can I have your card? He ignored me again and countered with another tactic to sell the car right then. After I got upset at his antics, and visibly so, I just walked out while he was still talking to me. During that whole transaction, one thing was strange. The Carfax report he showed me said it was a 4-cylinder, but the Autotrader Toyota certified advertisement said it was a 6. Even his manager said it was a 6. Arthur stated that the Carfax report was incorrect - it was a 6. I got home and looked closer at the pictures of the car. Well, I don't know how I missed it, but it was indeed a 4-cylinder. No "V6" on the trunk and it was a 16-valve engine. So I'm glad I didn't buy it. But worse, I don't know if the sales person and manager were ignorant, or sheisters on purpose. Either is unforgivable. More
Jennifer was a pleasure to deal with and helped me get the car I wanted at a great price. I wasn't terribly pleased with the financing gentleman. When he first checked my credit he came out and said the car I wanted at a great price. I wasn't terribly pleased with the financing gentleman. When he first checked my credit he came out and said "congratulations, I'm confident I can get you a monthly payment in the $340s." That was great. I was happy but I of course prepared myself to end up in the 350s. Once the car was in and I went in and he started looking at the computer and saying "hmmm" and using his calculator I knew it wasn't going to be great. $340s turned into $410. Not what he told me and I reminded him of that. "Well, with your credit...." he said. We went back and forth and I ended up getting the car for $385 with the extended bumper to bumper warranty and the gap insurance which I'm sure is where they make their money as their prices are very low. One thing I found out since leaving the dealership is that Howard lied to me about the Platinum Coverage. He said it was a bumper-to-bumper warranty. I even asked him twice. "Yes, bumper-to-bumper" he said. That's not true. Here's a list of the things it does NOT cover: Accessory Drive Belts Batteries Body Panels Brake Linings, Pads and Shoes Bumpers Carpet Chrome Clutch Friction Disk and Pressure Plate Dash Cover and Pad Door Trim, Handles and Fabric Filters Fluids Glass (including Windshield) Headliner Heating Hoses, Lines and Tubes Hinges Hybrid System Main Relays Hybrid Vehicle Battery Hybrid Vehicle Battery Module/Pack Hoses Interior and Exterior Trim Moldings, including but not limited to, Cup Holders, Ashtrays, Covers, and Vents Lamps Light Bulbs Nuts, Bolts, Clips, Retainers and Fasteners Paint Rotors and Drums Rust and Corrosion Damage Seat Covers Service Plug Shiny Metals Spark Plugs Structural Framework and Wells Tires Vacuum Hoses, Lines and Tubes Weather Stripping Wheels and Rims Windshield Wiper Blades (Rubber Component)" I'm happy to have the car I wanted at a decent price but I'm sorry to say I wouldn't recommend Brunswick Auto Mart. They talked me into putting down $500.00 on a Liberty over the phone on my VISA. I was assured by Terry Dorsey that the money would be refunded if the sale didn't go thru. We changed our minds the next over the phone on my VISA. I was assured by Terry Dorsey that the money would be refunded if the sale didn't go thru. We changed our minds the next day and requested a refund. He is refusing and being very rude saying I must take the car. I did not sign any contracts and was mislead. I will pursue every avenue available to get my refund. DON"T GO HERE! They lie and use unethical sales tactics. BEWARE... TERRY DORSEY IS A LIAR AND A CROOK! More
We took our 2005 PT Cruiser in for a new engine about 6 months ago. They replaced the bottom half. About 3 months later we took it in for a knocking coming from the heads, they found nothing wrong. We t months ago. They replaced the bottom half. About 3 months later we took it in for a knocking coming from the heads, they found nothing wrong. We took it in again still under waranty about 4 weeks later for the same noise and they could not find the noise. About 4 weeks after the warranty expired the head went. They would not cover it under warranty even though we had it in for the noise that caused the head to go twice! The service manager was rude and informed us that he rebuilds 4 to 5 of these cars engines a month. We will never buy Chrysler again, nor return to that dealership. For your information, the transmission went at 12,000 miles, the engine at 64,000 and the head at about 74,000. What junk! Don;t shop at this dealership, they stink More
