My recent visit was the 3rd time, I have brought my vehicle in for service. The 1st was due to a known issue with my model year vehicle. The 2nd was to reset the connection between my drivers side mirr vehicle in for service. The 1st was due to a known issue with my model year vehicle. The 2nd was to reset the connection between my drivers side mirror and the cpu. I brought it in without an appointment to this dealership and in 5mins they fixed the issue. They have always taken the time to take care of my issues and do it quickly, even though I bought the vehicle at a different dealership. This last trip was for an oil change and maintenance. Initially there was an issue finding me in the system. The gentleman named Dave working the counter in the service bay explained the situation, made sure this time I was easily found in the database and took care of us for the inconvenience. My wife and I will never go back to ken ganley subaru of north olmstead. The owner Asif was shady, I had to to call them out on false statements and they created issue after issue for my wife and myself from the very beginning. Bringing my car in for service their was always a huge stress. See below:: E-mail to ken ganley N.Olmstead: " This last visit was the worst I have experienced since we purchased our outback from you. I called earlier in the week to set up an appointment with the service dept. No one ever answers. I tried multiple times. So I reached out to my sales agent, found out later she no longer works their. I called back and spoke to a woman, who spoke with the assistant manager, he said to go ahead and bring my outback in that Saturday for an 11am appointment. I showed up, the service woman had no record of any appointment for my issue. I explained my situation, she said they would take a look and let me know the cost and when to bring it back in for the fix. I explained I paid for bumper to bumper coverage and this issue with the door handle STI cup protector blistering and bubbling off was an installation issue that was covered. It was installed at your dealership and purchased from you. Next we waited for 3+ hours. The service lady came to us and said that they were able to use an heat gun to apparently soften the material and get it to re seat and the tech said that it was an initial install issue. We were led outside and told to wait just by the service garage door and our outback would be brought to us. We waited in the cold for 20 mins, no car. The service lady came out nervous, she saw us standing there waiting. She apologized, gave the excuse that they only had one porter that day. We waited a bit more, then we went back inside to get warm. The service lady came back to us and said our outback was coming from another building and not the building we were in and it should be just a min. She apparently called the porter. We returned to the cold and waited again. The service lady came out and handed me someone else's keys. I stopped her and asked where my outback was? She looked shocked and said "you mean it hasn't been brought up yet" I said no and the keys you just gave us were not even my keys. She looked shocked, left came back 5 mins later with the correct keys, I said thank you, but where is my outback. Again she looked confused. Finally, they had brought it up alongside the outside of the service bay all they way down the hill at the bottom. Again she stated sorry we only have one porter today and he is overwhelmed. If you are experiencing a staffing issue , that sounds like a failure of management issue and should not be passed on to the customer. I told Asif when we purchased our outback, that when my wife was ready to purchase one for her and as long as we were treated right, that we would definitely be back to purchase from this dealership. After all the initial issues we had with being lied to about having to purchase a new license plate etc, poor customer service. "" Loyalty is big for us. If you treat us right, we are customers for life. We appreciate the great service from Brunswick Subaru and will be back for our next Subaru. Thank you! More
They need to keep scheduled appointments on time. I had 8am appointment and my car wasn't done until 10am. Be very cautious if you bring your vehicle here for service. I was originally quoted over $1,800 for unnecessary work—including bumper replacements that weren't needed, a non-existent engine oil leak, service. I was originally quoted over $1,800 for unnecessary work—including bumper replacements that weren't needed, a non-existent engine oil leak, and a steering rack replacement. On top of the inflated estimate, I had to catch a $160 error on the invoice myself right at the counter. While the basic repair was eventually completed, the aggressive upselling of unneeded parts and billing mistakes make it impossible to trust their service department. Always double-check your estimate and invoice before agreeing to any work here. More
