I appreciate clients taking the time to review our performance to get both positive and negative responses. We strive to achieve customer satisfaction. I encourage you to reach out to the owner or manager at Broadway to discuss. A few facts were omitted from the story. The truck was towed in to us, not running at all. We began by checking the fuel system and found no fuel pressure. Immediately, we went to the fuel filter and found it completely clogged. After fuel filter replacement, we had great fuel pressure. But the engine still wouldn’t start. We called the owner and he admitted that he towed it to us from another shop that tried to fix it by replacing the ignition system and it still didn’t fix it. We investigated and found there was a new distributor installed improperly and all 8 spark plug wires were not in the correct firing order. After researching the firing order on a 21 year old truck, we attempted to re-install the plug wires correctly, but the balancer was too rusty to find the mark for top dead center. We removed the #1 plug, brought the piston to top dead center, then re-installed the wires correctly. The total repair – not diagnosing the clogged fuel filter - took 7 hours and I believe his frustration should be aimed at the shop that replaced his ignition system instead of replacing the fuel filter. If I have any of this information wrong and you still feel Broadway did not do a proper job, please call us at 314-241-9140 and we will work it out.
