Ryan Hansen at Brilliance Honda made our car buying experience a pleasant one. My mom and I drove for over 60miles from Chicago southwest suburb to Brilliance Honda of Crystal Lake when she needed a ni experience a pleasant one. My mom and I drove for over 60miles from Chicago southwest suburb to Brilliance Honda of Crystal Lake when she needed a nice and reliable used car. Our car purchase well worth the efforts because mom loves her 1999 Acura 3.5RL from the Brilliance dealership. The car was clean and we got a good deal for the condition and performance of the car. There were new tires on the car and the engine was very clean. The car was well maintained by previous owner (John) who also works at the dealership. John decided to sell his used Acura when he purchased a 2011 Accord from the dealership. Going through the negotiation process as usual of a used car purchase, I did my reseach for the value of the car and Ryan Hansen was very friendly and pleasant to work with. Ryan kept to his promise as a business person to pay for oil change and tire rotation for my Honda Accord Hybrid, if the Acura purchase was successful, which it was. Even though we were buying a used car, Ryan made us feel like the most important customer in the dealership. Ryan also worked relentlessly to ensure that we got approved for the car purchase. I didn't like the fact that it took too long to finalize the financing and get approved (perhaps due to the holiday season), so we had to go back to the dealership the following day. Other than the financing hassle, we will definitely recommend Ryan Hansen as the salesperson and Brilliance Honda of Crystal Lake to anyone. John & Hannah More
Brilliance Honda is a great dealership to buy a car from. Working with Darrell Herbert was easy he is very patient and friendly. He made me feel like the most important customer in the dealership. All of the other men and women there are very friendly and happy, which was a breath of fresh air considering its holiday season and most clerks are rude and grumpy. I met the service manager and he was very welcoming and I will definitely be bringing my accord to Brilliance Honda for service. I previously owned a VW Beetle and I never felt as valued at the VW dealership as I did at Brilliance Honda. I love my new Honda accord its so fun and cool. More
Fraudulent sales practices, deceitful, terrible customer service. Stay away from Brilliance Honda. It all starts with the owner, Kevin Keefe, who is as dishonest as a day is long. He lied to me outright a service. Stay away from Brilliance Honda. It all starts with the owner, Kevin Keefe, who is as dishonest as a day is long. He lied to me outright about a refund he agreed to. This was after months of getting the runaround from his staff. Clearly they have their routine down: "Yes" the customer to death and lie to them, then evade calls and attempts for resolution of the problem. We were told the maintenance package we bought was good at any Honda dealership. Assured outright this was the case. Turns out that wasn't true. Called Brilliance for clarification and they offered a refund of the package without question. We were asked to fax a letter and they would send a refund. We faxed, we called, we emailed - calls were not returned. If we got someone on the phone we got the same assurance, just fax the letter again, we'll refund the maintenance package. Never happened. Finally spoke with the owner Kevin Keefe and he agreed the situation had been handled poorly and agreed to a refund. It's now 3 months later, he went back on his word and no refund. Kevin Keefe is the definition of sleazy used car salesman. A total and complete liar. No wonder the entire staff engages in fraud and lies. It comes directly from the top. Do not do business with this dealership. You'll regret it. More
I had started the process of looking for a new car and had already visited another Honda dealer. I happened to see an ad on TV for Brilliance Honda saying 0% financing. Because of that ad we decided to had already visited another Honda dealer. I happened to see an ad on TV for Brilliance Honda saying 0% financing. Because of that ad we decided to go to Brilliance Honda to see what pricing we could get. We were able to get a better price and better financing than other dealers so we decided to buy the car from Brilliance Honda. More
