I recently purchased a 2013 Accord Touring. After haggling for over a month with 8 other dealerships I was definitely growing weary of the game. A few dealerships gave me reasonable prices right off the bat. Other dealerships quoted me MSRP and said for best price I had to come into the dealership in person. Some dealerships wouldn't even quote MSRP and said I had to come in for a price period. Since I wasn't getting anywhere with most of the dealerships I was working with I decided to broaden the field and called Brilliance Honda and talked with Darrell Herbert . What a refreshing surprise. Right off the bat Darrell quoted me a price lower than all the other dealerships I had wasted the last 4 weeks working with within $300 of my target purchase price. We agreed to split the difference and I purchased the car that evening. Everything about the purchase experience continued to be great. Darrell's knowledge of the car was impressive and he was able to answer all of my many questions. When I went back to pick up the car all the options I had ordered were installed, the car was perfect. I highly recommend Darrell Herbert and Brilliance Honda to anyone looking to buy a new Honda. More

I got a great deal, but the pre-delivery service was not the best. There was glue and plastic still stuck to the car. However, it is not that big a deal and I took care of it myself. On the deal end, it took me several trips to the dealership and many phone calls to get it all worked out. I was playing three dealers against one another and it took me five weeks to get to what I considered a fair price. As a seperate point, I was most disapointed when I found out that "Out The Door" and "Plus Tax, Title and Licence" was nothing of the sort! They still added the "Bush", as it is called in the trade. ( Dealer's so called "Document Fees" and "Processing Fees", ETC!) I THOUGHT HONDA WAS BETTER THAN THAT! I am a long time Honda Customer starting in 1968, with a used S-800. Then a new Z-600, three more used ones over the next two decades. Then a new '76 Accord, Two next to last Generation Preludes bought through my Corperation and several (3) used Preludes until this last one a nice second gen S. This Civic is the last of TEN so far! I concider myself to be a loyal customer and Max, my salesman did a extreamly good job of servicing my most recent purchase and I will go back to see him again. Most of my ire above is directed at the entire dealership organization. I just rubs my fur the wrong way to get hit with those so-called fees, which are in fact just added dealer proffit! Purchased a 2013 Honda Accord from darryl. In the past my family purchased vehicles from Brilliance and each time we have used Darryl who is highly recommended. He is extremely patient and is not 1 of those family purchased vehicles from Brilliance and each time we have used Darryl who is highly recommended. He is extremely patient and is not 1 of those pushy car salesman who gives you the salesman lines of total bull crap. Traded in was a 2012 Honda Ridgeline that my wife simply did not like and felt was too big. Darryl was able to get us within the price range that we wanted after a very poor experience from McGrath honda in Elgin. I do not and will not go into detail on the issues as it really is no longer important. Just don"t buy a car there. Skip in finance was outstanding and very patient. We had an issue with the registration as it appeared that McGrath never registered the prior vehicle with the DMV. Skip was able to get everything straightened out and went above and beyond with assisting me in the proper way to cancel my extended warranty. No dealership is perfect however give Brilliance a shot at your business and ask for Darryl. I am very confident that you will have a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. More

I listed what I wanted on the Honda website on a Sunday night. Ryan Hansen at Brilliance Honda contacted me by 9:30am on Monday morning with the exact vehicle that I wanted (which he had to locate and get night. We had the deal done by Monday night and the vehicle was ready for pick-up on Wednesday afternoon as promised. Even though I had to drive 100 miles to the dealership, they found me exactly what I wanted for thousands of dollars less than several of my local dealers. Upon arrival, Ryan and the rest of the team were very friendly and efficient. I was in and out of there in about an hour. Ryan Hansen and Brilliance Honda in Crystal Lake have earned a lifetime customer!!! More
