Very disappointing recent experience. I had a great experience there with Billy Bouthilette when looking for and buying a vehicle. When the car failed post purchase inspection due to a faulty tail light with water in it, they made good and replaced it at no cost. I went back twice for basic oil changes and maintenance checks, and it was all good. My last visit was for a 50K mile check. This cost 4x a regular maintenance check/oil change but didn't really include a whole lot more. I was ok with going ahead with it anyway, just to stay in compliance with the recommended maint schedule. During routine tire rotation, a lug was broken on the wheel, and another $100 added to the cost. I know stuff happens, but I was quite surprised that the service dept would charge to repair something they broke! The last tire rotation was done there too, so if there was a problem with over tightening or something like that, it was still on them. I'm sorry, but this was not good customer service. I would still recommend Brattleboro Subaru sales to someone looking for a car, but I don't feel too good about the service dept after this experience. If you break something during a routine procedure you shouldn't make the customer pay for the fix. And just to top it off, the tail light is taking in moisture again less than a year after replacement and that will have to be replaced again to pass inspection,this time for $150. I was looking forward to having a go to place for this car, but I'm not so sure now. More

Great service Came in for long overdue service and a grinding noise in rear of vehicle. After the technician checked the vehicle Nate explained the noise to me and said I need rear brakes but the front ones are OK. He went over the total cost with me so there were no surprises when everything was done. More

not impressed The service people were nice enough, and it was great to get a ride to work, and worked with me when I couldn't get back before closing. However, I don't feel like this dealership stands behind their products. One of the reasons I scheduled was that I had bought my vehicle here used and felt that the battery was never strong, but they were reluctant to even check it for free, although eventually they did (and lo and behold, it needed replacing. Less than a year after I bought it. No discount.) They refused to check the gas gauge which has left me stranded twice with faulty readings - that would be extra. Also, I bought the car last year with supposedly "new" tires, and this center told me that after 20,000 miles I need a whole new set, my fault because I hadn't had them rotated. I've owned cars for 30 years, and I've never had a set of wheels last less than a year, rotated or not. Thirdly, I brought it here expecting superlative service, with a free car wash coupon that was sent to me as a promotion. I received a coupon for a car wash elsewhere, one that I now have to find the time to take it to. For the extra money charged by dealers, I expect them to treat me well, back up the products they sell, and to find my car fixed and shiny and beautiful at the end of the day, not excuses that they don't have enough time or personnel or that of course the battery will wear out if you leave the flashers on for 30 minutes with the engine off. I'm going to go find a mechanic who actually looks after their patrons. More

Each and every time I bring my outback for service, they greet me with a smile, are polite, informative, and go above and beyond to help me in any waynthey can. When I dropped my car off on Saturday April 14, I mentioned to Dave that I had a coupon for a,free car wash and multi point inspection as a birthday gift from Subaru. He said he would see what they could so because they only had 4 workers that day. When I came back, my car was spotless! I thanked him for scheduling the guys to clean it and he told me that they didnt have time, but he knew that I would appreciate it, so he took it out and hand washed it himself! Wow! That’s the only thing I can say, WOW! Thank you, thank you, Dave, Rachael, and the rest of the service department at Brattleboro Subaru. Ill keep sending new customers your way! More
Great service! Needed headlight replacement without an appointment. They not only accommodated me but discovered 3 more bulbs that were out and replaced them.
