The sales staff is definitely laid back. I would've liked to have been walked through the vehicle a little more. Its nice to not be hovered over but its also nice to be shown some of the vehicle featu liked to have been walked through the vehicle a little more. Overall the cars are priced at a decent value but the sales/service difference between a new dealer and Bourne's is noticeable. Also, I was told at test drive that the vehicle would be thoroughly inspected and any defects noted would be fixed but upon delivery the vehicle had a lot of small dings etc. that were not fixed and I was told afterward that that is part of the condition of the vehicle. I was also told the car would be ready for delivery in 2 days but it took several phone calls to get a response in 3 days and 5 days before the car was ready. Lastly, beware of the $400 documentation fee added on casually at the end. Overall, you get what you pay for and the car was priced very competively. It would just be nice if the service were a little better. More
We were interested in a high end used vehicle as we did not like the design of any of the new offerings. This vehicle will be primarily used by Mrs. "S" and will last for a long time. We knew of Bourne as our daughter had a very pleaurable association some years earlier. She purchased a Mercedes, which she still drives and loves. We reviewed you website and made inumerable visits. Our lease had some time on it, so we did not purchase a 5 series BMW we saw and liked very much. Several vists later, and many test drives, we found nothing that we liked as well. My wife had seen a Lexus on the website that caught her eye. Upon visiting, a Mecedes 550 cauught my eye. It was in great condition and priced where we could afford such a luxury vehicle. The mileaga was very low and the whole purchase was very easy. No hassles and trying to sell extras. Your sales staff was very helpful and patient. I actually think my wife enjoyed the experience, whcih is the first time that ever happened. She hates the hassles and pressure of the dealerships. I gave up $3,000 of GM credit card points, a supplier discount and lease loyalty priviledges to purchase this used vehicle. I have purhcased 15 new vehicles in my life, and I must say I have become pretty good at it. However, I think this may be the best and easiest vehicles I have ever purchased. Certainley I could not have obtained a vehicle of this stature without Bourne Auto. I will (and have) recomemmend(ed) you to others. I don't need fancy offices or fancy waiting room to purchase an automobile. You folks have it right. You are fair, honest and helpful. As pleasurable experience. More
We needed to buy a car to replace our previous auto (purchased new). This was our first experienced bying used and were already discouraged about the financing inquiry from our bank of 30 years. Even though we had enough money with them to buy the car several times over they offered us a rate that was quite frankly, insulting. Thank goodness we had seen a vehicle on Bournes web site and test drove it. We dealt with David Olson and Shaun Sanders. Every process went smoothly, professionally and absolutely no pressure was there. EVERYTHING, absolutely EVERYTHING was taken care of from trade in, fantastic financing, to delivery of a great car!! While we waited for our vehicle to be prepared we asked every customer that waited with us if they were happy with their experience and everyone we spoke with said they are an honest bunch and would not go anywhere else. After what was a very tough begining hunting for financing and the right auto we are convinced we made the right choice, no wonder the place is so busy and amazed at how smoothly they can match folks with the right vehicle in such a pleasant easy way. They also must not put these guys through car salesman sales training because they don't try and sell you anything. they give you advice, walk you through what the industry trends are and make sure you are making the right decision. Buying the car was one thing; but, they way I am treated anytime I am back in there is what truly makes Bournes the best. I am now looking to buy a car to replace the one I have now...and I won't even bother look anywhere else. More

Mike and the other members at Bourne's Auto are friendly and knowledgable. This is very different from my experience at other dealerships that sales people hound you and try to get you to sign before you l and knowledgable. Bournes offers great selection and a staff that is not pushing you to buy rather helping you make a smart decision. Even though Mike is a manager at Bournes, he still took the time to walk around the lot, test drive cars, and answer all my questions. I would highly recommend Bourne's for anyone looking to come to a dealership and not be sold, hounded, or pressured into finding a car. More
Let me say that I had some issues at first with both my transaction and then the car after some issue with dealing with Bourne. I wrote a review and Michael Kelly contacted me right away and solved all th transaction and then the car after some issue with dealing with Bourne. I wish that I didn't have to write the review to get the issues fixed and had worked with Michael from the start. Before dealing with Michael I wouldn't have gone back to Bourne but as long as he is still there I would keep going back for another car. More
I was in the market for a used Saab convertible for almost 2 years and was becoming discouraged by 'hidden' problems with cars, fast-talking dealers and price ranges that made no sense. I was thorough almost 2 years and was becoming discouraged by 'hidden' problems with cars, fast-talking dealers and price ranges that made no sense. I was thorough in my search for cars and used the internet, newspapers and even looked at auctions -- my range was 300 miles from where I lived. Any cars near my NY metropolitan area were very over priced or beat up! When I noted a Saab available that was <5 years old and in good condition with a stick I called up Bourne Auto and they were knowledgeable about the car and quickly emailed me more detailed info with pictures. They accepted a down payment over the phone and assured me it would be refundable after I visited the dealership in S.Easton MA and test drove the car. When I arrived the car was absolutely detailed and Dave let me test drive the car for 'as long as needed!" The surrounding town and area is great and highways in great shape to really run a car. After kicking the tires for a while, they answered all my questions and I committed to the purchase. In NYS there are no temporary plates, so David over the next several weeks guided me through the process of transferring the car and was very patient. I took amtrack to Providence and then a Boston transit train to the nearby town (and then a cab) to the dealership. It was no big deal - in fact I enjoyed the trip and got to relax for a while with a book (imagine that!). The drive back was great - picked up a case of Narragansett beer in RI and cruised all the was with the top down. Bottom line - my mechanic said the car is in great shape. The price was fair. The dealership always answered my questions and even returned a call after my purchase. What more can you ask for? They've been around for a while and I will purchase from them again. I was pleased with every attention to detail and effort that was made by this outstanding crew. They were able to provide me with the exact car I was looking for without the typical "BS" you recieve from New and used Dealers. Having only been a "new car owner" this experience changed my outlook. I will never buy a new vehicle again. There website was user friendly and also aided in my search by giving me the information that i needed before walking in the front door!! I am pleased to say that I will only take my business to Bournes! You should too! More
