Almost Perfect I brought my car in for a brake system flush. The Service Dept told me it would be about an hour. Sloppy inspection June 19,2020 I brought my Tiguan in for an oil change. I was concerned that my brakes might need replaced, so specifically asked that my brakes be in June 19,2020 I brought my Tiguan in for an oil change. I was concerned that my brakes might need replaced, so specifically asked that my brakes be inspected. I was told after the inspection that my brakes were still in good condition with 10mm of brake lining. I was then told I needed spark plugs and brake fluid flush. I scheduled the recommended service for June 23, 2020. Approximately an hour into the scheduled service I was told that I needed brakes replaced. The person said instead of 10 mm of lining there was 2mm. They also found two other problems. I expected the visit to cost around 400 dollars. I was handed a bill for 1400 dollars, which they “gracefully” took 100 off. My biggest concern is one of safety. I left the day after my appointment to drive 1000 miles and I wonder if my safety was put in danger because of a sloppy inspection. More
