For being a dealer I am very upset with the guessing as to a repair for my truck. The words, "Might be", "Not sure", "I think it could be ", is no way to run a service department. I was told it might be t to a repair for my truck. The words, "Might be", "Not sure", "I think it could be ", is no way to run a service department. I was told it might be the transmission cooling system or it could be the transmission. One was $2,050 and the other was $6,800. I choose neither and decided to take it to a diesel mechanic. Found out it was actually a $900 torque converter without taking it apart within and hour and a half. I myself as well as other people are being ripped off by dealers over and over due to quantity over quality. The service writers and techs are paid a commission for over selling the customer. This is not right. You're dishonest and a thief. I am done with dealer service departments. They are all the same. When it is under warranty they still over bill the manufacturer for profit. More
