My daughters car was stolen and totaled, little did I know that the theft would be less traumatic than purchasing a new vehicle. This is the fifth new car that we have purchased in the last seven years s know that the theft would be less traumatic than purchasing a new vehicle. This is the fifth new car that we have purchased in the last seven years so I am not new to the experience. The way that your salesman negotiated the car price was underhanded at best and in my opinion dishonest. The list price on the car sticker was $18.860. On the Internet (same vin) it was listed for $15,860. with trade in ( which we obviously didn't have) and a$1000. manufacturers offer. So it was close to our target price. When we sat down to talk price he wrote the sticker price of $18.860 on the top of the page then asked us what it would take for us to sign that day. We told him our price would be $17,000. He then drew an arrow down to the bottom of the page and wrote that number down. He then proceeded to ask us what we wanted our monthly payments to be. We told him that she was a full time college student and the most we could all do was $300./month. He replied, what about $350.? I told him that would be stretching it. He then wrote $350. Down at the bottom left hand corner of the page. He told us he had to check with his boss. When he returned he said " my boss said that seems fair and doable." He drew an x with a line next to it under the $17,000. and asked us to sign our names. Silly me, I thought that meant that was the agreed upon price but no. When we went to sign the final papers the actual cost of the vehicle had jumped to$19,785. Before the extended contracts. When we obviously questioned the price we were told that the added cost was for the paint and interior sealants...which we never agreed to..and that he had negotiated on the monthly payment amount of $350. Not the car price. By this time I was ready to hand the keys back and tear up my down payment check but my daughter loved the car and my husband is a nicer person than I am. We were there for 5 hours and my daughter was already late for work so we did settle on a price which I still was not happy with. I truly wish I had left but by then we had invested so much time and energy I truly didn't feel like starting over again. So when all is said and done we love the car but won't be purchasing from this dealership again. More

Buying my first car at age 54 was quiet an experince for me. I could not have asked for a nicer salesman. He was very helpful in explaining everything to us. Before going to Bommarito, we went to George Weber and I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. they took my keys to look at my trade in and that was it - THEY WOULD NOT GIVE MY BACK MY KEYS .. when I requested my keys..that acted like they never heard me. They were very low on the trade in...it just was a BAD experience. Totally different at Bommarito, they showed right away that they wanted my business and were VERY VERY VERY professional about earning it. I bought an Avalanche in August '08. Part of the purchase was the inclusion of a $500 "GM Business Choice" gift card because I'm a business owner and qualify. I called and talked to Bill McKeown the sales manager. Bill said he'd resubmit my info. After another three months. I called again because I figured out they still hadn't submitted my VIN to the program. After several unreturned calls I got a call from Bill stating that I was supposed to register the vehicle in the compay name, not mine. I told him that requirement wasn't in any of the paperwork. I kept pressing the issue. His boss, Mike Jordan, later said that I didn't request it at the transaction because it wasn't on any of their paperwork. I took them to small claims court and won.
