We test drove a used car on a Saturday..contacted Bob Tyler on Monday to go over numbers. I put in credit application and made an appointment that same afternoon. We arrived to be told by Mr. Cobb that t Tyler on Monday to go over numbers. I put in credit application and made an appointment that same afternoon. We arrived to be told by Mr. Cobb that the car was sent to auction. He admitted that he failed to communicate with the dealership an d would attempt to call me the next morning if he coiuld get the car sent back.. We were extremely disappointed. I recieved a call the following morning letting me know they had the car sent back. I spoke with Ben Cobb numerous times asking him not to waste my time ledthat if the numbers were not managable to please let me know. He assured me that it was not a problem. We schedualed another appointment to arrive to be told that our salesman Ben had left for the day,,by this time we were ready to leave,,but gave the general manager a chance to help us. The general manager was nowhere near the money that was discussed, trade in value was totaly different than what was discussed and no attempt was made to make us happy, That was the most horrible car shopping experience I ever had. I would not recommend them because of poor customer service, lack of professionability, lack of communication, dishonesty, and the lack of customer satisfaction. More
the vehicle I bought was certified but I have taken it back for repairs more times than I have been to the gas station. Yes they have made most repairs with satisfactory results. the tundra when purchase back for repairs more times than I have been to the gas station. Yes they have made most repairs with satisfactory results. the tundra when purchased did not have a rumble when the transmission shifted into 4th or 5th gear but developed one that resonanted from the passenger side it was checked and was informed nothing wrong but if it gets worse bring it back, well it started to rumble throughout the whole cab area- returned to shop was informed nothing wrong with truck- test drive with service person and he noticed and felt rumble and he said he would check it out and maybe drop exalst to check truck. kept at shop 2 days and when truck was ready for pick-up no problem found was the answer. the exaslt was never taken apart to check for any problem and I was told that all v-6 tundras made the same low rpm rumble. I have friends with same truck that do not rumble and I also test drove another 06 tundra at another car lot it does not rumble, and remember that when I first got the truck it did not rumble.. I feel as though I got the run around.. and maybe should return truck. More
They were extremely courteous, they didnt pressure to do anything and we were allowed to just take our time. Tony was very informative and he was just a nice person to deal with. My wife went in for routine service. Requested her tires to be checked and was told they were fine. After a Neighbor pointed out that the tires were bald. I looked at them and they were in fact bald with ba to be checked and was told they were fine. After a Neighbor pointed out that the tires were bald. I looked at them and they were in fact bald with bare tread on all four of them. She took the car to a local tire dealer and was told she should not have even been allowed to drive off the lot with the tires in the condition they were in. I feel my family’s life was put in jepordy with no professional regard for safety. I will never purchase from Toyota again. Very, Very dissatisfied. More
-Very poor maintenance and service. I took my tundra -Very poor maintenance and service. I took my tundra in because of a faulty transmission mount and bracket that was causing a popping noise. I did -Very poor maintenance and service. I took my tundra in because of a faulty transmission mount and bracket that was causing a popping noise. I did some research and found that Toyota had issued a (TSB) Toyota Service Bulletin stating that this was happening to a lot of 2005 tundras and that it would be replaced free of charge (not to mention i have a warranty). When i returned to pick my truck up i was charged $100.00 for parts and labor. I disputed the charge which nearly turned into and argument as i told them about the TSB that was issued. They informed me that there was no such TSB so i presented them with the TSB. They seemed frustrated at this point but then complied and said the the bulletin requires to change more parts and i would have to bring the truck back in a week. When i got home i inspected under the truck to see what repair they tried to charge me 100 bucks for, only to find out that they replaced a nut and bolt that went through the bracket with a larger self tapping screw. $100 for a screw and labor?? My parts finally came in and then they replaced the bracket, mounts, and bolts correctly. Since they are the only Toyota dealership in town, i highly suggest that anyone that goes there does a lot of research and inspects anything that Bob Tyler touches. More

Mostly young people work here, early 20's and older ones over see them but you deal with the young people. It's like Toyota sells itself we just need someone here to watch you and tell you what you want to over see them but you deal with the young people. Wish I found this site before stopping .I felt extremely high pressured ,spent an excessive amount of time trying to make both sales persons understand that I was just starting to look at a new vehicle . high pressured ,spent an excessive amount of time trying to make both sales persons understand that I was just starting to look at a new vehicle . They gave me the impression that I had to buy one of there vehicles that day , because the prices were subject to go up next month. Hope Bob Tyler is proud of his sales team loosing a sale .I will certainly let my fringes know of the two other Toyota dealerships in our area . Shame has such a remarkable reliability record and not so with the sales personnel More
I would recommend you travel OUTSIDE Pensacola to purchase your Toyota. The high pressure tactics at this dealer and condescending attitude toward customers was most irritating. How dare a dealer t purchase your Toyota. The high pressure tactics at this dealer and condescending attitude toward customers was most irritating. How dare a dealer tell ME what I want in a vehicle and keep me there for hours while trying to sell me what is on the lot versus getting me the vehicle I want. After sales courtesy is missing...stay away from this dealer. A former employer tells me that the tactics the salesmen employ are encouraged by Bob Tyler himself. Take the time and travel an hour away for professional sales personnel. More
