My wife and I were in the market for a new Volvo after a major accident totaled our 2006 Volvo S60. When we arrived at Bob Penkhus we were welcomed right away by Chris Sneed and made to feel at home. When our initial sales rep was delayed in meeting our appointment time due to another customer, Chris stepped in. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We told him what we were lookiing for based on our research. He recommended we take a look at the XC60. We fell in love with it. It was perfect fit for us. He then worked the details in trying to find the vehicle we wanted. We wound up taking the vehicle he showed us. We had a similarly great experience with Ben Wald in finance. He was friendly, knowledgeble and professional. I've had bad expereinces with finance folks before leaving with the feeling that I was cheated. Not with Ben. He did his job well, explaind the services and products and did not do the hard sell. he also found us the best finance rate. Today's experience (18 Feb 11) was the best we've had in purchasing a new vehicle (this is our 7th purchase) ever thanks to Ben and Chris. More
I just got my wife a new VW GTI and the assistance and service I received was really good. I finally decided to purchase a car after hesitating for over a year. It was a great experience. I am glad I went in and I wished I would have done it sooner. I have never been to a dealership where they care so much about the customer. This dealership is the best one I have ever been too!! This is my second Mazda and I will be STAYING with Bob Penkhus and Mazda. I couldn't have asked for better service. The guys were so attentive to my needs. I went in to inquire about an advertisement I saw on TV. Pete greeted me and asked if there was anything he could help me with. I told him the reason for my visit. He went and got Rob penkus who came out, greeted me with a handshake. He then explained to me what the VW sale on TV was about. He then offered a test drive on a simular model that he had in stock. After I drove it, the car lacked a couple of key features that I had to have. Rob understood me very well and let loose with his wealth of knowledge he had about Mazdas. I wouldn't ever think I would even consider another Mazda as I had a an older 626 about 9 years ago that didn't fair very well. It was late on Thursday and I had to leave. Rob offered to let me take a Mazda 3 out on Friday afternoon when I got off work. I returned to the store and accepted his offer. Pete went with me as I put it through the trials up Ute pass. Car performed well but just wasn't giving me the quiet comfort ride that spoiled me with my BMW X5 (even though the Beemer started costing me a fortune). Pete had a returning customer so Rob intruduced me to Mateo. Mateo was also great listening to my concerns as well as making small talk as a person not a salesman. We took out a Mazda 6. My concerns were answered with a 20 min test drive. When I returned I met Andrew. What a guy!!! I told them my concerns about spending too much as I have some upcoming priorities that would not allow me to spend a lot. Andrew went to work immediately in his office on his computer working out different intrest rates, terms, money down ect... It was not just one way. He worked everything out and to my satisfaction and we agreed on a deal. My closing was with Reese. It was smooth and friendly even though the only extra I took was the life of oil changes. That was a no brainer and basic math for me to figure I had to take that. The reason Bob Penkus Mazda/VW/Volvo gets this high rating is that Every person there was curtious, friendly and I never felt pressure of any kind. Rob Penkus was so knowlegable about his product, Andrew was a numbers wiz and everyone else did their job well without blowing smoke up my butt. I will report back after I get to put their service department to use. More
I wanted to write a review as this was my first new car buying experience and was very nervous about it. I actually had problems with my current car and needed a new one immediately. I originally talked with the sales person over the phone to try and arrange some details as I live out of town. As it turns out they had the exact car with the options I wanted in stock. I named my price and they agreed to it with pretty much no haggling. I drove to the dealrship to pick up the car and they had all the paperwork completed that they could prior to my arrival. I was there less that an hour before leaving with the car including a test drive (they had also washed the car and got it ready before my arrival despite the time constraints). The thing I have liked best about working with this dealership is the fact that due to the rushed nature of my purchase I have had some questions and other details that I wanted to get worked out after the purchase. I was concerned that there would be no follow up as after all they have made their sale. Anytime I contacted my salesman, Matt Canales, I recieved a quick response to my question. I love my new Mazda 3 and will definately be going back to Bob Penkus, but probably not for a while as my new car is just what I wanted and I plan on keeping it for a long time.
