While getting a problem fixed on my 2009 Volvo, I was looking at the used Mazda Miata's. I meet Pete Verdin and Rob Penkhus. Pete showed me the vehicles that were on the lot that fit my needs. I was not looking at the used Mazda Miata's. I meet Pete Verdin and Rob Penkhus. Pete showed me the vehicles that were on the lot that fit my needs. I was not sure which vehicle I wanted to buy at the time and said I would get back with Pete. Pete was not a high pressure salesman and was very helpful in answering all of my questions. A week later I had made my decision and purchased the Vehicle. I found the sale staff were great! I would recommend anyhone who is interested in a vehicle to go see Pete. More
I wanted to rate the dealership because my experience was so incredible. Since my husband is military and gone alot I was very nervous about buying a new car by myself. My experience was so easy and not on so incredible. Since my husband is military and gone alot I was very nervous about buying a new car by myself. My experience was so easy and not one time did I feel stupid. Pete who helped me thru the whole process was so sweet and knowledgable. If he didn't something...he would immediately find the answer. I would recommend Pete and the dealership to all my friends. Thanks for the great service. Amy Earls More
I bought a used 2007 Toyota Sienna XLE on 5/19/2011 and all is well there! On 5/25/2011, my car started giving "engine check light" and "VSC" on, so I gave a call/e-mail to the sales person from whom I pur all is well there! On 5/25/2011, my car started giving "engine check light" and "VSC" on, so I gave a call/e-mail to the sales person from whom I purchased this, he told me that it may not cover under warranty and told me to set up an appointment at service, when I called service to give me an appointment(though I know that this is not covered), they told me that the next avaiable appointment is on June 2nd, well that long I can't wait having to know that check engine light is on with family I can't drive to take risk, so went to Firstone and paid them $89.99 to check on this, they told me that it is just a leak gas cap (P0456 code, small evap leak). I feel now not even a week I purchased this vehcle, so Bob Penkhus should have given an appointment atleast to have a look (though I'm willing to pay the price for that - bummer), so I thought I should report this on your feedback website, if someone is looking at this feedback, More over, Firestone told me that there is a more sound coming from a Pulley as well, so need to replace that and I'm experiencing Music system will stop and get on while driving when you hit a small bumper on the road, so I'm not a statisfied with this purchase from this dealer to be honest and won't recommend. It was our second vehicle we purchased through them The salesman that was worked with was Amanda. She guaranteed that the Jeep we were purchasing was going to have the transmission replaced before we took it home. We agreed and paid in cash in full on the spot for the Jeep. A few days later we got the Jeep back. Amanda LIED about the replacement of the transmission. It never was replaced. TShe didn't even have the courage to tell us that the work was never done! The check engine light was still showing up. She offered to come to our home pick the Jeep up herself and take it back to the shop to have the sensor reset. She said that after the transmission was replaced (that never happened) they forgot to reset the sensor. She also kept forgetting to bring the maintenance paperwork to me. When she dropped the Jeep back off to me she said "I hope you don't mind that I sprayed Febreeze in the Jeep, it smelled like the shop." What a bunch of crap. She smoked in MY vehicle and thought I was too stupid to smell it and see the ashes that were all over the backseat, where my children would sit! Since then, Amanda has refused to return my calls. It took nearly 2 MONTHS for her to mail us the maintenance records. Lo and behold, no mention of a new transmission. I have taken this issue to the manager and the mechanic that did the work on the Jeep. DO NOT purchase a vehicle through Bob Penkhus, and don't waste your time working with Amanda, she is only after a sale and is apparently satisfied with lying to you face, putting your family at risk in a vehicle that needs work and taking your money, smoking in your vehicle, being a complete coward and not taking responsibility for her unprofessionalism and lies. We purchased a used vehicle. We wanted service records but they were closed. So the manager was great about setting up a "We Owe" that allowed us to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic for evalua but they were closed. So the manager was great about setting up a "We Owe" that allowed us to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic for evaluation. Turns out there was about $3400 worth of work to do - nothing terrible, jut important mechanical fixes for the age of the car. Jerad, the manager on duty, was fabulous about ensuring these fixes were taken care of at no expense to us. Additionally, their mechanic who was a recent hire away from a Toyota dealership said he was so happy to working for a company that allowed him to be truthful in his reports about vehicle inspections. This meant a lot to us. A couple of aesthetic issues were also taken care of by the dealership without reservation, hesitation and a "happy to do so" attitude, even though the car was an AS-IS marked vehicle. This is our second purchase from Bob Penkhus. Happy customers! More

After writing my post on Bob Penkhus' Woodman store I received a phone call from the GM Mr. Drew Carroll who wanted to try and correct my problems and my opinion on this dealership. After speaking to Drew and sending him some paperwork on the $1,362 we had payed out to repair the 2000 Ford Windstar we had purchased, Drew actually called back and made arrangements to repay some of the costs for the repairs. Drew was a very good representative for Bob Penkhus dealerships, I found Drew to be a fair man which has raised my opinion of Bob Penkhus greatly. I still wouldn't trust the Woodman store or the salesperson we dealt with but I might return to the Motor City store for another purchase thanks to Drew and his ability to be fair and just. More

Too much price haggling and never sent the $200 referral fee that was promised. Why refer if they don't follow up on their end? I guess it's cuz they got the sale already...Don't offer something you don't fee that was promised. Why refer if they don't follow up on their end? I purchased through a Costco deal so price negotiation was all done before entering the dealership. All other dealings were easy and I have no complaints with the personnel at Bob Penkhus. If you need a new Volvo, Mazda or Volkswagen (or a used car), I HIGHLY recommend this dealership. This is now the THIRD new car I've purchased from Penkhus, and I'm sure it's not the last. Bruce Leiva i car), I HIGHLY recommend this dealership. This is now the THIRD new car I've purchased from Penkhus, and I'm sure it's not the last. Bruce Leiva is the most knowledgeable sales professional I've met in the car business, and is a pleasure to work with. He will take the time you need to learn all of the gadgets on the car after you purchase as well. If you've ever dreaded the car purchasing process, buy a new car from Bruce. He's friendly, knowledgeable, trust worthy and very customer service oriented. I can't say enough good things about Penkhus in Motor City in Colorado Springs. It's no wonder that their tagline is "where no one just buys one." More
