I dropped it off on a Wednesday This is for the Test Drive Location. So irate! I took my car in because it was making a funny noise (user error). I dropped it off on a Wednesday evening because I was not going to be around Thursday when it was scheduled to be looked at. I was set up with a tech Wednesday to do a ride along to see if he could figure out the problem. He couldn’t at the time. Around 2pm Thursday evening I get a call about the problem. I tell them to fix it. This is when I was told that the parts for my car would be special ordered and that they would not be in until Monday. I was blown away. My issue with that is that it never came up Wednesday. They never said that if parts were needed they would have to be ordered, because your car is so new (2011). No one ever said you will be out of a car for about five days. I wanted them to put it back together and I was going to pick it up, pay for the parts that I was told later, were special ordered so I had to pay for them, and take my car somewhere else. I should have! I received no call Monday about my car. I called Tuesday after 11 am and the service advisor, I believe Diane, gets on the phone and says, "Oh yeah, we'll have it done by the end of the day today." I ask her why that would be because she told me Monday. I asked her why no one contacted me Monday to let me know they were not done. She replies," Let me look at my call log and see, I called this number (my home number) at 3:40pm yesterday." I'm furious now because she says that she has a log saying she called my house and no one called! I say, no, I have a phone log as well and I was at home, you didn't call me. Then she goes into making oh sounds and mumbling about she thought she did and she doesn't know what happened. The kicker is, I gave them my cellphone number and she had previously contacted me on. So… now she lies about calling my home number? She never even said she left a message. Probably because she knew she was lying. She left a message on my cellphone Thursday. So, not only did they not call me early in the morning Monday to say they didn't receive the parts and would not be done but they lied about calling me. She said the parts eventually came in around 2:30pm Monday. However, she said the car would not be ready until the end of the day Tuesday. That means they knew Monday morning that they weren't going to be able to fix the car and no one called then. Plus, this job should not take all day. What I’m getting is that no one touched my car Monday when the parts came in and they did not start on it Tuesday morning either. I will never take my car there again unless it has a warranty issue. I took my car in for services such as oil changes and rotations (I drive a lot). No more. I will no longer pass along their name to those who are searching for cars either. Keeping my car for six days is one thing, however; my major problem is the lie and then the lack of communication. I should not have to call them to chase down my car. They need to get more competent people in there as well. Obviously those that are working in the service department at the desk are overwhelmed and cannot handle the task they are assigned. Lying is not the answer. Had she admitted she forgot to call me I would have been upset but it is different than outright lying to me. I finally got my car around 5pm on the sixth day. I called them at 4:30pm because no one contacted me about my car since my call at 11am. I was put on with Diane and she said it was done. That blew me away because no one called me. It could have been finished for hours and nothing. I'm glad I have my car and hope it has no warranty issues in the future. I'll even think twice about taking it to them for that as well. I would rather pay than be lied to. More
I spent 4 weeks researching/looking at cars at dealerships, and had placed a car at Bob Penkhus on my preference list. I gave the salesman my best financial offer (which was everything wrapped up dealerships, and had placed a car at Bob Penkhus on my preference list. I gave the salesman my best financial offer (which was everything wrapped up into the dealerships asking/sticker price), and the salesman said he had spoken with his manager and the dealership was willing to accept with my offer, as long as my trade-in car was in good shape. The dealership appraised my car and said they would love to proceed with the deal, so I started filling out their paperwork to purchase the car. I had to leave for an appointment, so we agreed to finish the paperwork when the dealership opened the following day, which the salesman said would give them time to detail the car. I came back the next morning at our agreed upon time to finish the purchasing paperwork and turn in my car. The dealership told me that another one of their locations had came and picked up the car to show to someone without them knowing about it, and that they were trying to get it back, but it looked like the other dealership was going to sell the car. The manager apologized, asked me if there was any other car I was interested in, and offered me a free oil change. I expected the manger to get in a car and go get the car I had already begun the purchase process on, as I had invested valuable time and resources in coming to the agreed upon deal with the dealership, and had already started the purchasing paperwork 12 hours earlier. The manager did not get my car back, and this was an unpardonable failure in EVERY single way thinkable for a car dealership to do. I will never go back to this dealership (which I had already purchased a car from 3 years earlier, so I was a repeat customer) and will recommend them EXTREMELY POORLY to anyone. More
I have purchased several vehicles from this dealership and from Ivan Muniz. The quality of their cars is best in the state! They are always clean and fully serviced by quality technicians. Though I hav and from Ivan Muniz. The quality of their cars is best in the state! They are always clean and fully serviced by quality technicians. Though I have don't business at both locations, I have found the Woodman Road location to be the best. They are friendly, honest, and very helpful. The prices are always fair and Ivan has never let me down. If you are in the market for a car try this dealership. It's family owned and operated and they take pride in their work. More

This is a terrible company that is very poorly managed. I had a bad experience from minute 1 in the door. I purchased a car from them 2 years ago and thought maybe it was just a bad day. I was wrong people l had a bad experience from minute 1 in the door. I purchased a car from them 2 years ago and thought maybe it was just a bad day. I was wrong people like this do not belong in a possition of power. If you want to go somewhere knowing the customer is the last thought feel free if not do yoursefl a favor and just keep looking I am ashamed to know there are dealers like this in Colorado Springs and hope this listing will help others who are thinking of stopping by to think a little more. I hope Brett the sales manager reads this and his boss. If Bob really wants to succeed he will need to start by revamping the entire managment team. happy car shopping make sure this is not one of your stops. More

Only after the CPO expired did they offer to pay for 1/3 of the cost to replace a part that may or may not have fixed the issue. When I complained to Volvo Corp, they only listened to what the dealer told them. I believe they wanted to look good in the eyes of Volvo. I have owned five Volvos, this dealerships service has been the worse. If you must buy a Volvo drive to Denver, or better yet, drive to Peterson Volvo in Ft. Collins, I love that dealership. You will be treated like a VIP. I hated, hated, working with Chad Penkhus at Penkhus Volvo. I will never buy Volvo again due to this dealership and Volvo backing them without giving me a voice. Run away from this dealership - run fast! More
I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership 9 months ago. At the time I felt like it was a fair transaction and I was treated well. Five months after purchasing the car I had put about 3500 miles on the ago. At the time I felt like it was a fair transaction and I was treated well. Five months after purchasing the car I had put about 3500 miles on the vehicle and the check engine light came on. I took the vehicle in and they charged me $170 to reset the check engine light and do a "Software Update". Three hundred miles later the check engine light came on again with the same error code. Again I took it in and was told to take it to the Jeep dealership down the road. After looking at my car the Jeep dealership told me that the exhaust manifold and cataltyic converter were dented and needed to be replaced ($1600). Bob Penkhus should have paid for the entire repair as they sold the vehicle to me in that condition but they wouldn't even honor the waranty that came with the Jeep covering half of the cost. They told me that I caused the damage but I know for a fact that there is no way that could have occured while I owned the vehicle or I would have known about it. They told me I had to contact my insurance company to fix the problem but my insurance company will not pay for the damage becuase it did not occur while I owned the vehicle and I am not going to lie to them just to get them to pay for it. I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership and will tell everyone I know to stay away if they are smart. More

This was on Friday, I applied for financing right there on the site and by Monday we were all set. It was So easy. We flew to Colorado Springs from our home in Farmington,New Mexico and David met us at the airport. Within 2 hours we were on the road home in our "new- used" 2006 Chrysler 300C. We just love it! Mitch has excellent customer service and professionalism. We were inquiring about leasing a new vehicle vs. purchasing a new one and he answered all of our questions to our great satisfaction.
