Terrible experience I bought a mazda from another bob penkhus location and not only overpaid, but they sold me a warranty that didn't really cover anything. 1.5 years lat I bought a mazda from another bob penkhus location and not only overpaid, but they sold me a warranty that didn't really cover anything. 1.5 years later, I am trading this vehicle in a a huge loss. This location had the car we wanted, so decided to try them again. I came in with an auto loan all ready an in no need of financing from them. They wanted to run my credit and I declined. They lied and ran it anyway lowering my credit score. Now waiting for the alignment promised when I purchased the vehicle. I made an appointment and was on time. Now, 2.5 hours later and not only still waiting for my vehicle, but no one can even tell me when it is going to be ready. Definitely finding a new car dealership for the next one... More

They had asked me to come in because they saw my car on Autotrader see it. So I drove all the way down south From the north side which is about 25-30 minutes away with my child. They looked at my car on Autotrader marketplace. After that they said that my car which is a 2001 Toyota Celica GT That It was only worth $750. Then Bruce went to the back and the mechanics said easily $1,900 Then the person that was writing the check said he would only give me $1,200 Then I said well I'm leaving without a car And they said okay but we can trade it in for a1996 Corolla And it's the same value and I said no its not Mine is all I know is newer and it has yes it has around the less miles but its not the same car And I was like this is not OK I was like well what about this car and has 10 times more miles more everything on it will never sell and they said Oh we can't sell that because it's a bigger body style And you're trying to compare your smaller car with this bigger body style and I said okay This Nissan Xterra Has 227000 miles on it My car Yes is a little older But by a couple years But it had 163,000 miles. Not that I want it because it has high mileage But they're trying to tell me that My car does not value anything and I can understand going lower but not into the 90's especially when they were trying to sell me something that was a 1990 car. I felt cheated and that is my car worth worth more than that what they were saying all the cars that they have there even though they called me a liar or like old cars with no good mileage and they were marking them up till like 3 $4,000 5000 even I don't care if they fix them up a 1996 Corolla is still 20 years old. That Nissan Xterra had a high mileage of a so high its not even worth anything was still almost $5,000 So I feel like they're going to take my car and give me $750 and then mark it up to 5 you know at least for 5 grand because if you fix it up its worth that. I You know and then the last thing that was said that really made me upset was about how I should be just happy with a four door car because I'm looking for a bigger car for me and my child and I was just thinking in my mind But my engine to drop in anytime you know it's older and why would you put me in an older car so if you're so worried about my child You wouldn't put me in an old xxx car just sayin So I would not recommend this place for anybody unless you were buying straight brand new and you or you're going to buy your car straight out or you know you can forward their high payments for their high priced cars that have high mileage and our old cars so if you are able to do that this place is great for you. More
Great place to buy a car I purchased a new VW and worked with Josh and Ben. They both were great at explaining the features of the car and taking time to make me feel comforta I purchased a new VW and worked with Josh and Ben. They both were great at explaining the features of the car and taking time to make me feel comfortable. They went through all of the featues and set up the presets on the radio to what I had in my trade in. They even set up the apps on my phone to link with the car. I'd reccomend both of these guys to anyone looking to purchase a car. More

Bob Penkhus has been the most unpleasant experience of them all. They are great at taking your money but they don't want to give it back when its owed. More
