Had our 2017 Escape in the Bob Maxey collision shop recently We were extremely happy & pleased with the outcome & timing of the excellent job. What was less than pleasing is that calls had to be made from me whe We were extremely happy & pleased with the outcome & timing of the excellent job. What was less than pleasing is that calls had to be made from me whenever an update was needed. 3 examples come to mind: . It had been established that our vehicle would need 3 or 4 days of work... it was agreed on 8/1 that we likely need to leave our car for 3-4 days for the job & we were assured that we would get a call when the parts came in & scheduling be made.... had to make a call on a friday to see if the parts were in & we could be scheduled... the positive response was yes... it would have been better if we got the call from dealership. . Near the end of the 3rd day, called again to get our status... it would not be ready for at least another day,,, again, it would have been better if we got the call from dealership. . On the 4th day, called again ~5:20p (collision shop closes at 6p) for status... response was yes WE THINK your vehicle will be ready today... once again, it would have been better if we got the call from dealership. Called again at ~5:40p... response was yes your vehicle is ready, but the paperwork is not, & we will TRY to have it ready for you to take it home today... again, it would have been better if we got the call from dealership. It should be stated that we did not have a 2nd car during this period & we were in a bind. Dealership was aware, & offered us a loaner, but that would have pushed us back a couple of weeks more & we thought from a safety standpoint, that it best to to have the vehicle fixed sooner than later. Would we have the vehicle serviced by the collision shop again? YES... as stated, they did a great job... if & when that happens, we will be similarly frustrated with the one-way communication we might face if it is no better than it was in our recent experience. As a Ford retiree, I really want Ford & its dealerships to succeed. More
Service work Took vehicle in for warranty work and vehicle wasn’t repaired. It s worse now than before I took vehicle in to dealership. Excellent I came in and they assessed the damage on my car quickly. They said they would call in a couple weeks when they had a loaner and they did. I did not h I came in and they assessed the damage on my car quickly. They said they would call in a couple weeks when they had a loaner and they did. I did not have to call them. They completed the work in timely manner and let me know in advance when it would be done. I left my garage opener in the loaner and they made arrangements for me to get it on a Saturday. I could not have asked or gotten better service! More
Fixed Stop and Go feature on my Escape I was very satisified with the service I received from Dan the service manager and his crew in the service department. I don't live in the area and I drive to Howell from Novi for service and I don't mind with the service I received. Thank you, More

What a nightmare!! I have had nothing but trouble after bob maxi ford fixed my recalled coolant system. It’s over heated a dozen times or more welded my dual clutch toge I have had nothing but trouble after bob maxi ford fixed my recalled coolant system. It’s over heated a dozen times or more welded my dual clutch together and caused irreversible damage to the engine and other components. I took it in about two months ago and said there was white smoke coming from exhaust and it was shifting hard I wanted them to look at transmission and check fluids. ( I also need a wheel bearing fixed) they had car ready next day and said everything was fine they seem no issues besides wheel bearing they fixed. Two weeks later my car will not move. They say the clutch is welded together and the transmission fluid is burnt. With no explanation!! How could this be I just had them look at it everything was fine they said. I told them I didn’t wanna put a bunch of money in vehicle if we couldn’t get the other issues (coolant system) white smoke ect. They proceeded with fixing the transmission without addressing any of the other issues. The coolant system is still messed up it has overheated 3 times since then. They have avoided me and this car since claiming they are backed up and can’t get car in. That’s fine I’m taking my car somewhere else where I’m treated with respect and car is properly fixed. I’m a very reasonable man and gave them several opportunities to do the right thing and they have declined in fact they’ve been real xxxxty like it’s my fault or I messed up car. So I have been forced to seek legal action as they are not willing to man up to their mistakes even though they’re blatantly clear!! I meet with my lawyer on Monday and from what I see should be an easy case! More
