I assume recall work was completed correctly BUT upon arrival at the dealership I was told by the service writer that my car tires were out of alignment BUT for $130 dollars they could fix it. I am no mechanic but I question how that could be determined by just a cursory inspection and with just 5k miles on my vehicle with no road problems that I should have to pay for a realignment. Maybe the car came from the factory that way? This is the first time I have had to have work done at your dealership and so far I am not impressed. 11/29/2024 i brought my car into bob lindsay honda peoria il. for service on nov 05 2024,this is by far the worst auto service experience i have ever had.. the only bright s into bob lindsay honda peoria il. for service on nov 05 2024,this is by far the worst auto service experience i have ever had.. the only bright spot is that MYJKA , a service advisor and the parts manager next day aired a part for me so i could make my drive to arizona when i wanted to. now for the bad part..i brout the car in for a metalic scrapy sound when i started it..my serive advisor wa SCOTT and MYJKA.. car was brought in on nov 5th..they said i need a battery, alternator, and starter..i oked the work which was finished on the 8th they did not have a loaner so i rented a car.. after the job was finished my baterry warning light came on...took it back to the dealership on nov 15th..instead of checking the parts they replaced they siad i nedded a sna load detector which they said would help the battery and alternator work together..as it turns out they just thru another part in to see it would stick..very bad.. guess what ??? my warning light came on again.. i took it back on saturday the 16th and myjka had a service tech check the battery and he said" if tha tbattery light comes on it is usually the alternator..too bad they didnt check that the first time i took it back.. she said she could get in in tuesday??? realy!!! and business that is good wsould tell me" mr weber we will have your car in first thing monday morning" i even took it in monday incase they could get it in..i did get a loaner this time.. my car did not get looked at till thursday the 21st.. i even drove over to the back lot to see if they got it in on thuesday and wed.. no it was not in..finally on thurday myjka called me and said"just as i suspected it is a devective alternator..the alternator should have been tested the first time a brought it back..plus a part that i paid 118 dollars for was not needed..bob linsay should give me that money back..so to sum it up my car was brought in on the 5th and a finally got it back on the 22nd... dont you check your parts before you put them in???" this is the main reason why the car industry "sale or sevice" has a horrible reputation of being corrupt.. dont bring you car here for sevice!!!! My wife and I were visiting in Peoria for Thanksgiving. Unloading the car I noticed a slit in the rear tire sidewall. Even though they had a full day of service work scheduled, they were able to work us in and finished our tire replacement before 4:00 pm. Very friendly service department! More
