They told me that the radiator was the problem and it would cost $700 for parts & labor to replace it. I instead bought a radiator from the Honda dealer in Lisle, IL, for a mere $233 (radiator alone was around $350 at Bob Lindsay Honda) and I replaced it myself. The line was still leaking. I pressure tested the old radiator with 130psi of compressed air, but could find no leak. So, I returned to the dealer and requested that they refund the $120 diagnostic fee, since I just wasted a bunch of money on a radiator that was perfectly functional, but they declined to give a refund. I asked the service manager to pressure test the radiator like I had, but he refused to try and find a leak. The manager asked to look at the car, so I let him. He said that the clamp on the radiator hose was not installed correctly and that was the reason for the leak. He told me that they installed the clamp correctly and the leak stopped, so clearly the radiator was the problem and the hose was in good working condition. When I got the car back, the notes from the tech said that he trimmed the flared end on the hose and reinstalled it. The service manager blatantly lied to me and refused to take responsibility for the misdiagnosis in any way. Also, I went to the parts desk to get some spark plugs, and they came back with a bill for over $100 for 4 spark plugs. I was blown away by this, and declined to buy, I then ordered the same part# online (NGK Iridium plugs) for under $40 shipped. I will never buy parts from here again unless I need it immediately. The last time we were treated so well was a weekend getaway at the Ritz Carlton!!! Our 2013 Odyssey had some maintenance issues which were out of the factory warranty yet should not have occured with only 25,000 miles. Bob LIndsay Honda's service department (and our salesman Paul Schmidt) went to bat for us and got Honda Corporate to correct the issue. It is so refreshing having a team of experts working FOR you....the customer. I have often said that it is the service that sells the vehicles. I'm not sure if it will be 3, 5 or 10 years down the road but the Service Department sold my next van by taking care of us. Also, I can't praise them enough for their waiting area and hospitality. My wife is the one that took the van in and she took along our 4 year old, 2 year old and our 9 month old. They treated her and my children with such kindness and took extra time to help entertain them as they were there nearly 4 hours. (the original apppointment was not scheduled to be this long but the day quickly spun out of control) They even helped entertain the kids when my wife was on the phone and in discussions with everyone. It was just an amazing experience. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! It is so nice to do business with a place that cares about their customers!!!! More

I brought my Honda in for a repair estimate on a burned out clutch. Online estimates for this repair are $600-900. They quoted me $1800. What?! Then, when I said I would have to take some time to figure out how to pay for that insane quote, they charged me a $50 service charge (to tell me what I already knew was wrong with my car). The bottom line is this- if you're no longer under warranty, there is no reason to go to the dealership for service/repair. Go elsewhere. Support a local mechanic or do it yourself... More

He was the epitome of what we look for in a salesman, knowledgable, to-the-point yet not rushed, and most importantly, not pushy in the least. He understood what we wanted and worked to that end. Every time I have been to the shop especially the past year, Justin has always taken care of my care and my concerns. Making sure I have a shuttle. Making sure my car is fixed up to my standards. Especially, this week when my car died. Yes, he was sympathetic when he told me on the phone. He tried finding a used engine. When I decided it was time to let more civic si go; he made suggestions. He reached out to a Matt Szidon in sales and let him know what I wanted and was looking for in a car. It was because of him that I will always want to have him as my service center contact. Caring. Understanding. Great customer Service. Next, Matt Szidon had to deal with my shock of my car being not fixable and my tears. I was not the easiest person to have to deal with that day. I also work retail and know the troubles of dealing with people. I was too emotional and probably a little rude (not the kind of person I am or want to deal with). Matt was understanding and knew I was having issues. I had to think about signing and committing for a day. I called the next day and talked to Justin. And then Tammy Boyd helped me finalize my decision to order a new civic si. I was totally impressed with the three amigos!! It took one day to locate my new car...and get it to the dealership. The process was so easy and painless! I will recommend all three to all of my friends! It takes a special person to work sales and with the public. Not everyone has that ability or knack. I commend all three of them! Three words to sum up Bob Lindsay Honda dealership....Caring. Understanding. And GREAT customer service!!! My husband had fallen in love with the Honda CRV a few years ago after our son-in-law had purchased one and stopped by to show us. We were referred to Scott Schuster at the dealership. We found Scott a pleasure to work with. He was very patient and helpful, answering all our questions and concerns. He made it a point to explain all the ins and outs of the CRV and also gave us a tour of the building and Service Department. We will definitely buy from Scott again as well as refer acquaintances to him also. More

Emily is the service tech who took care of me during this service, and this was my first experience with her. She did a really great job; she was attentive to my needs, and while my vehicle was being services she provided an update and advised me of a couple upcoming services. She told me that the timing belt is past due for replacement based on the vehicle's age, and the 90K service will be due the next time bring this vehicle in. I had checked my owner's manual regarding the timing belt replacement before I scheduled this service, but it was vague on this subject. Emily's advice was very helpful for me. Emily is just one example of the great people I've had the pleasure to work with at this dealership. Others include Brenda, Justine, and Jen. More

The detail with which he knew the product was amazing. We never felt pushed or rushed. In fact, we had a very stress-free experience each and every purchase. Matt was very professional and down to Earth. He made sure that we knew all of the facts of every aspect of our purchase from trade in, extended warranties, financing, etc... He really made us feel that he was going to fit us with the best vehicle for our family's needs and not just try to sell us the most expensive vehicle on the lot. The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful, but Matt is why we keep coming back. I have sent many of my friends to Bob Lindsay Honda to work with Matt. He has always been friendly, up front, and honest with me and is willing to work on some fairly unusual requests. As long as Honda or Acura has something that fit my needs / wants, I will continue to buy from Matt. I have referred many people to Matt as well. More
