I purchased a brand new Fiat Abarth from here a few months ago and the sales staff was very friendly. When my car threw a CEL this week I went back to get it checked out and they wouldn't even look at months ago and the sales staff was very friendly. When my car threw a CEL this week I went back to get it checked out and they wouldn't even look at the car. The "gentleman" who helped me first insisted I had a power-pedal installed, when in fact I have a piggyback ECU (which isn't even active right now). He treated me as though I was lying to him, despite my being very straightforward with him the entire time. After several minutes of this, he went and got his manager, and while I was explaining the situation to the manager, Neil went online and pulled up the part he claimed I had and started going off again about how the part I have is the same thing. Once I finally got him to understand that it's a completely different part, and that the piggyback ECU has nothing to do with the throttle actuator control system (the CEL said it was a problem with this system), his argument suddenly changed to "well you have an aftermarket part, FIAT won't even let us look at the car." He was very rude about it and wouldn't even listen, insisting that he can't do anything. Finally the manager (who was actually very nice and willing to listen) tried calling his representative but was unable to get ahold of him. In the meantime Neil continued arguing over nothing, so at this point I left and decided to take my business elsewhere. I called Crown FIAT and was told that the information I was given at Bob Boyd is false, and they can absolutely take a look at it. If the part caused the problem it wouldn't be covered, which makes complete sense, but they can at least take a look at it. I now understand why Bob-Boyd didn't have any reviews on here and why Crown FIAT has such great reviews. More
