Experience with James Clarke from Bob Boast Dealership Earlier we visited the Sarasota Dealership, where we found 2 cars we liked. However, we were unhappy with the salesman so we decided to stop in Brade Earlier we visited the Sarasota Dealership, where we found 2 cars we liked. However, we were unhappy with the salesman so we decided to stop in Bradenton. The approach was altogether different. We were immediately greeted by James Clarke, who began telling us about the various cars. He even sold us on the idea of a diesel turbo, which we had been unsure about. He displayed an easy, "can do" attitude with no pressure and lots of knowledge. When we got down to pricing, his first goal was finding out if we could find the car we wanted. He never once left us and his General Manager looked to see if another dealership had our ideal car. Once he confirmed that, he had our trade in analyzed and came up with $1,000 more than the previous dealership offered. The car that was available actually had a few more options on it, but they threw those in. The price they offered was generous and fair and most of all, we didn't feel like we had been beaten up. We then met with Ty, the finance person, who was knowledgeable and fun and willing to help. He also sold us on a maintenance plan, Xenon coating, mats, and sealant for the rag top. He told us about their maintenance department and assured us that I could drop the car off on my way to work and they could drive me to work while they service my car! Jim Clarke sold us the car but also their dealership family. Each person that assisted us that day worked synergistically to sell the car to us. It was obvious to us that they loved their product and their jobs, and were there to assist us in whatever we needed. The car was perfect when it was delivered to us and James did a wonderful job in showing us how to use all the bells and whistles for operation. James and Ty also worked with our insurance company to make certain that coverage lined up with safety features of the car. We are thrilled with the car and very comfortable with Bob Boast dealership, and especially, James Clarke. More

The review is for Russ as our sales person. He was a "5" for every category. He listened to our needs. He didn't sell us something we didn't ask for and he showed us many options. Russ was also able to spend a great deal of time with us; we were there for three hours or more. But, the only thing we would change was our experience with the Financial Manager, Ty. He was abrupt and rude. So, the overall experience rating of the dealership went down to a "4" because we just didn't feel he was the professional that Russ was. When we went back for a follow up visit, he seemed must calmer and nicer. Someone must have said something to him about our negative reaction when we left the dealership that night. I hope other customers don't have to experience his rude, paper throwing attitude. If we didn't love the car and the experience with our Salesperson, Russ, we would have walked out of his office. This should be the easiest part of the sale, instead it was the most painful. Thanks to Russ at Bob Boast VW, we are happy Jetta owners. More
We visited Bob Boast VW several months ago looking at used VWs. At that time we decided not to make a purchase. We were so impressed with Robert that when we decided it was time to "buy" we went back to used VWs. At that time we decided not to make a purchase. We were so impressed with Robert that when we decided it was time to "buy" we went back to Bob Boast to work with him. We live in Sarasota and have a local VW dealership but we didn't go there. We knew we had a choice, and we chose Bob Boast so we could work with Mr. Browning. He was professional, personable, and knowledgeable about the products. Last Saturday we decided to buy a new Gold TDI. Thank you Robert for making it happen! More
James had assisted me online in looking for a new 2013/2014 Eos Executive. I wanted new with White exterior and Beige interior as first choice and Light Silver with Beige interior for 2nd choice. J 2013/2014 Eos Executive. I wanted new with White exterior and Beige interior as first choice and Light Silver with Beige interior for 2nd choice. James had contacted me stating that they didn't have any in stock, but had just received an executive candy white with light blue interior with 3500+ miles. He also told me that they could try to find me a 2014 Lux or Exec. and could go with that choice. We drove up this past Saturday, 9/21/13 and met with James. He drove the 2013 Eos Exe. and we test drove it and really liked all the extras that this had. So we traded in my 2004 Highlander AWD V6 which only had 30,500+ miles, which we moved here from Aurora, CO. James was able to obtain the clear coat protective outside and inside protecting paint etc while we were there also, which is not normally done on a Saturday, so was very pleased with obtaining that. The process went very well and we are very pleased. Kevin the dealer from Ohio, whom is the Ohio State Fan, was very pleasant and nice discussing Big Ten Football while we were there, as well as checking online the college football scores, which my Iowa Hawkeyes were playing while we were there. He was very nice in keeping me updated on the score of the game. All in all, we are very happy with the process etc, especially James and all the others that assisted us in trading and buying the 2013 Eos Executive car. More
The gentlemen that helped me with my brakes were very courteous. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied even offering me a drink while I waited for service. Normally when a female goes into a car service center or dealership, they feel uncomfortable... the employees at Bob Boast made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I would definitely recommend their service and will use it again in the future. More
