I was in the market for a new truck. Stopped by Bob Bell first ot get a price. Then visited other dealers, Ford, Toyota Chrysler. All the deals about the same in price and each had some special offer/promot first ot get a price. Then visited other dealers, Ford, Toyota Chrysler. Gave me some incentives that the other dealers would't. I am happy to say I got the best deal I thought at Bob Bell with the assitance of Art Wheatley. Love that new car smell. Carl Luck was very attentive to my situation. From the moment I walked in he was very courteous and kind. He was very knowledgeable with the facts of the car that he was assisting me with purchasing. (couple bumper scratches), prior to my purchasing but Mr. Luck made sure that those issues were dealt with before I signed my papers to take my brand new car home! My purchase was due to my prior vehicle being stolen and I truly enjoyed the feeling of safety and that I was not being taken all the way around Mulberry's bush with the car salesman just trying to make another sale. Mr. Luck was patient with me and helped me walk out of there with a brand new car that I can afford. My children loved the new car too:) More
Had horrible experience. Bought new car. Took over 6 hrs to do paperwork, etc. Felt rushed at the end. Salesman wanted to leave so pushed us out quickly after car was detailed. Put us in and said wanted to to do paperwork, etc. Felt rushed at the end. Salesman wanted to leave so pushed us out quickly after car was detailed. Put us in and said wanted to be sure we understood stereo, DVD, etc. Then didn't do full walk around because he was rushing us. Was told that the parts we still wanted (roof rack, trailer hitch,etc) would be put on in the future and he pushed us out. Got home did a walk around and found paint scratches and holes in the seat in the very back of the vehicle. Called back immediately upon discovery and was told by the general manager that these would be taken care of when other parts were installed. Took in for other parts to be installed and was told by the general manager that they wouldn't take care of problems because we drove off lot like that and they were all problem now. Realize we should have done walk around before leaving dealership, but after 6 hours with two children and being told to wait "just a bit longer" over and over and over we were tired as well. We kept saying we could come back in a week and get it when it was all ready to go, but they kept insisting we stay and take it right then. After all that and the bum's rush from the salesman at the end, we didn't do a walkaround and thorough inside inspection one last time before leaving the lot. We feel cheated and abused. Brand new $25K vehicle now ruined and we will have to pay thousands more to get fixes that were not our fault! Avoid this dealership at all costs!!!! Slightly better price does not make up for other problems down the road. More
I recently was in an accident which involved damage to my front end. Took my Nissan Sentra to Bob Bell Nissan to get repaired. I would definitely recommend this dealership, and I will be visiting them the next time I am in the market to buy a car. More
I was so eager with dealing with Bob Bell Chevrolet of Balrimore. I had talked to my sales person Dana who was very friendly and out going over the telephone. I had spoke to her several times in regards to a vehicle I had found there however I knew my credit was not the greatest so I told her up front there was no need to beat around the bush about it.She assured me that it was no problem what so ever and that she had just sold a car to someon who was worse off than me because not only did that person have a foreclosure she also had a bankruptcy. SO I felt confident and I gave her my social security number and my income information and my trade which was paid off. She had me on hold for a few minutes and then came back on and told me that I would be approved that her sales manager wanted me to come in and it wouldnt be a problem. So I agreed to go. I pulled up the map quest and it was 2 hours away from where I lived so I was a little worried that such a long drive would be a waste of my time. So the day before I go I email Dana and I tell her that I am a little concerned it is a long drive if I am not going to be able to get the vehicle that I want. She emails me back and tells me not to worry because she wouldn be wasting my time nor hers if I wasnt going to be able to get the vehivle that I wanted she assured me that I would be driving home in my new vehicle, that she was an honest person and that her dealership is not like other dealerships that they want to put people in vehicles. So not only do I drive there 2 hours away, I bring family with me who is looking for a new car and a new truck so we figured maybe we all could get a great deal since there was 3 of wanting to buy. We get to the dealership at 4:30 and meet with Dana who proceeds to tell us that she is having another sales person help us because she is the internet sales person and she has 9 people there already so she wouldn't be able to help all of them so it is the policy for us to work with a regular sales person. This is where John S. comes in. I no longer see Dana from that point on. So we look at the 3 vehicles that we are interested in John gives us the prices and of course we test drive all 3. John was very helpful and I really felt sorry for him he seemed to be doing all the work for Dana's sale. However Dana told us that if we came in we would have great rebates and incentives and that the price on the internet would be $3-4000 less than what was listed. WRONG that was not the case at all. The prices were as marked on the internet no reductions or incentives or anything. So I am dealing with John and he takes all the information that Dana did and comes back to me and say I am sorry but we dont have a bank answering us for you so we cant give you an answer. So I proceed to tell him that it must be a mistake because Dana told me everything was good to go and that I was already approved. Wrong again that was just what I was told to get me in there, they explain to me that was just a pre approval. Pre approveal for what??? For me to drive 2 hours for nothing. So the rest of my part who didnt speak with Dana goes and does their credit application and are told well it has a question mark so we have to speak to a bank rep who isnt in right now but you can come back on Monday if you want. While I had been humiliated enough by being told I would not be financed I am waiting for the rest of my party to finish up my wonderful sales person Dana walks in the door laughing and with food & drinks in hand with another sales person. So obviously this is why she was too busy to deal with any of the customers she had come in. So John comes over to me and tells me that Dana was being dealt with in regards to my situation. Well big deal. She then comes over to me which I assume to apologize however I stop her and just tell her dont say anything to me. I do not need half xxx apologies that are worthless. The sales manager didnt even have the nerve to come over and apologize on her behalf for me not only driving 2 hours, $6.50 in bridge tolls and a full tank of gas all wasted. I will never ever forget how horrible my experience was with this dealership. I would not return to this dealership if they called me up and said they would give it to me for free! More
