I scheduled an appointment to see if spark plugs needed to be replaced, belts replaced and check for any 93,000 miles maintenance service was needed. After I approved the service I needed to be done, I ge to be replaced, belts replaced and check for any 93,000 miles maintenance service was needed. After I approved the service I needed to be done, I get a call the truck is ready. As the shuttle is arriving I get a call that the truck is not ready. The mechanic said the truck is now misfiring. News to me. Very poor communication on why my truck had problems that were created at the service dept. Truck went in healthy and returned in poor condition. When I questioned the mechanic, he was vague as to why my truck was misfiring. I asked if it was safe to drive and his answer was he guessed so. He wanted me to leave my truck overnight so someone could get a diagnostic reading to see what the problems are that the service dept caused. There was no loaner offered and no way to get home except to drive this now crippled truck. I will be contacting the service manager the next business day and if there is no response, I will take it further until this issue is resolved to "my" satisfaction. Updates will be forthcoming. Update 10/02: I received a response back from the service manager the next business day. After explaining my concern for the lack of communication and problems I encountered, etc. I would return the truck and given a loaner car until the problem with the truck is resolved to my satisfaction. The technician found that a newly replaced spark plug was the problem and had to replace with another new spark plug. Maybe, I am not so sure if that was the only problem. However, the truck was returned to me in good condition. I am pleased that this episode did not escalate to a higher management level. The service manager and his boss, both whom I met and spoke to, were very polite and professional in their response to my frustration with seeking answers. I am very satisfied with the dealers response and the readiness to assist me and return my truck in good running condition. Whether I will return to this dealership is still something I will have to give considerable thought to. Update rating: 3 More
After purchasing my pick up truck from Bob Bell Chevrolet in Belair, I took it back to have rear differential work done under warranty and they refused to do the work because I had had the engine oil changed in Belair, I took it back to have rear differential work done under warranty and they refused to do the work because I had had the engine oil changed by a local service center which had nothing to do with rear differential. after explaining my situation with Wendy and Brennan they agreed to fix the rear differential under warranty. And did so in a very timely manner. Again, I’m very happy with Jerry’s Chevrolet service department. More

I also received a call today, from Greg, who was my service advisor, who also apologized and made sure everything was going well with my vehicle. My 2nd issue was resolved at no charge to me. I purchased a new Chevrolet Silverado 18 months ago. The buying experience was great and that’s where it ends. For let 25 days I have tried to get a defective windshield replaced. Something has failed inside the middle layer of the glass. Took it back to Bob Bell and was told there was something wrong but GM needed to look at it. My truck is less than 2 years old. I was also told not to drive the vehicle as it was unsafe. I was told that they had never seen an issue like this in over 40 years of experience with GM. I was never offered a loaner. I was also advised that Bob Bell would contact the GM rep and have them contact me by Friday of thought week I took the vehicle in. It has been more than three weeks since my visit and no one has contacted me yet. I have called back to the dealership many times, and everyone pushes it off all the GM. I was told to issue a complaint with GM which I did. Again three weeks later and I still haven’t heard a thing from anyone. I have been a GM customer for over 40 years and the Bob Bell customer for over 20 years. This will be my last purchase from both. So much for a 36 month bumper-to-bumper warranty plus extended warranty. They are great until you need them. No one can tell me what the problem is with the windshield only that it’s not covered by my bumper to bumper warranty. The term environmental fallout has been mentioned as a possible cause. If that’s the case, then most of the vehicles in my neighborhood should have the same issue but they don’t. This is Bob Bell and GM’s way of telling me that they don’t really care. Good luck if you choose to buy from either Bob Bell or GM they do not stand behind their product. More
Bought a car last month from them had an issue I wanted them to look at and salesman wanted nothing to do with me and referred me to service. Service told me it would be $170 to look at it. Such a professional place , took my car in for a oil change and it needed new front rotars and breaks when I heard that my heart dropped , but thanks to the best service writer Tina Wolff , it was just change and it needed new front rotars and breaks when I heard that my heart dropped , but thanks to the best service writer Tina Wolff , it was just perfect , helped with discounts and got the lowest price possible for me I would definitely bring it back for future appointments , not to mention the mechanics there . After buying our new car a few months ago and being very happy dealing with BobBell, we took our vehicle in for its first (covered under the new vehicle agreement) oil change/maintenance visit. Just wanna let people know that they charge a $10 miscellaneous fee, which doesn’t show up on your invoice. When I asked, the cashier described it as a shop-fee that is charged each time you come in for servicing. Just disappointing in an age when I thought dealers like BobBell were getting rid of hidden fees. More
