I sent emails to Jon and Tony. I need the defective engine I paid for in your shop Returned to SW Engines, and full credit returned. AC blows warm air. I was promised a rebuilt engine, invoiced, and than invoice reduced as mistake was realized. I am filling out small claims paper.. and would rather this is resolved.

DO NOT USE BLACKSTONE TOYOTA / MICHALS TOYOTA - Shame on Manager Tony for allowing this to happen and doing NOTHING. Last year, repairs were made by Michael Toyota, and when returned to me, there was a significant fuel odor. I returned for them to fix, and they stated they not only could not fix, but they did not smell it. The service attendant smelled it, and the mechanic smelled it. But toyota refused to acknowledge this. After opening a case with Bureau of Automotive Repair, BBB, and reviews on Yelp, I was contacted by the GM and told to bring the vehicle back in and they would make it right. I brought it in, they made an attempt at fixing it, but then my truck quit running and would die at intersections unless I kept my foot on the gas and brake.Then there was an issue with coolant leak with the truck in march, and I took it back. In March, after turning the truck in to Michael Toyota, the service department told me my engine needed to be replaced. Toyota sent me to a vendor SW Engines to buy a used engine. Toyota stated that the engine from SW Engine arrived but was not usable due to rust in the engine, and leaking valve covers. Toyota agreed to rebuild the engine in the truck and repair the A/C. On May 13, it was agreed that the engine would be rebuilt for approximately the same price as installing the SW Engine with labor and purchase price of the engine. 6500. On May 13, it was agreed that the timing belt would be replaced for $630.56. This is a no brainer if the engine is being worked on. I have texts confirming what was to be done. I also confirmed that the AC was repaired. I was told no. I asked to have it done, and Toyota stated that it made sense to do it now while the engine was out of the vehicle. In June, I received a call informing me that the AC had not been done, and I asked them to do this. It was more expensive now. On Friday July 1st I was told my truck was ready and I arrived at the shop to pick up the truck and was presented with a bill for $6700. I requested confirmation that I basically have a brand new engine with zero miles. I was told NO, the engine was not worked on. I told them this was unacceptable for me to spend 6700 for an alleged head gasket repair. Jon explained that the company had changed hands, Michael Toyota became Blackstone Toyota and service personnel handling the service on my vehicle were out with Covid, so miscommunications must have occured. After being told that only the head was repaired, I let them know this was unacceptable. Why would Toyota tell me my engine is no good, have me pay 2400 for another one to be shipped to them, and then told that THAT engine was no good, and then still leave the existing engine in the truck?? On Friday July 1st I was told that I could sign my truck over to Toyota and walk away. On July 6, I was told that the General Manager was willing to bring the invoice down to $4000. I went in and paid the 4000 just so I could get my truck out of the shop. I was told that it was driven around the block and runs great. The truck had no gas in it, so not sure how they confirmed how anything was working. I have my receipt of filling the completely empty tank within 10 minutes of picking up the truck. In the week since I have had the truck I have noticed that the A/C blows warm air most of the time, there is now a burnt oil smell, my milage has gone down from 200 miles per tank, to 160, and the truck dies again unless I keep my foot on the gas. I am certain that few if any repairs were actually done to this vehicle. The engine was not worked on as they stated. The head may or may have not been worked on. I suspect now it was not, as the timing belt was not replaced at that time after requesting that it be done. It is very customary to perform that job if the head is out of the car. I was asked if I wanted it done, I stated yes. And then told it was not done. SW Engines wants their engine back, and at the request of SW Engines, I have asked Blackstone Toyota to provide photos and an explanation of why the engine was not suitable to install in to my vehicle, and am waiting for that. I called, and was told they were very busy. I emailed on July 11, and have had no response. I will open another case with BAR, contact Corporate, and post anywhere and everywhere about my experience. I want a full refund, an apology, and admission of failure to perform, and we part ways, and I will NEVER set foot in that dealership again.
