I debated posting, but after speaking to several locals I thinks it's best if I share my recent experience, in hopes of saving someone else a big head ache. 4-23-24- I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Accent with thinks it's best if I share my recent experience, in hopes of saving someone else a big head ache. 4-23-24- I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Accent with 83,742 miles, for just under $10 grand. 4-24-24- I drove it from Cheboygan to Saginaw and back in the rain. (It ran great) 4-25-24- I took it back to Bishop for tires, sway bar, and hubs. 4-26-24- I got it back 4-29-24 I went to the casino in mackinaw MI on my lunch break drove through a puddle in the paved parking lot, the car stalled and wouldn't start. I call Bishops. They offer to bring me a battery, which didn't work, then they offered to tow the car, and give me a loner. 4-30-24 Loran calls and tells me my engine is waterlogged, I must have submerged it in 2/3 feet of water, and it needs a new engine. I go check the car there is no splash gaurd on the driver side (the side near the filter intake) While my mother is making a video of the car Loren comes out, I asked if he thought the missing splash gaurd played a part in my blown engine. Loren says, no that car doesn't one. Then goes on to explain how water got sucked into my engine. I then explained to him how splash gaurds prevent that. I then went in the show and spoke to a younger guy and told him about the missing splash gaurd. He went in the back came back and told me they had just taken it off, and asked twice if I had pictures of it from when I brought it. I was very upset and not thinking and said no, I actually had two, one they took with me holding their sign, and one I took both of the driver side. They then gave me a bill for towing and one for $289 for the battery they tried starting the car with that did not work. They gave me a loner car and told me they would help me and I should file a claim with my insurance. I asked them to take the battery back and take the charge off. A few days after I was mad as I should be, and made a post about my honest experience with Bishop, which I deleted instantly because they had my car Then i got a call from them saying they wanted the loner back and my car off their property because I made a post. Then they threatened to not release my car, and Loren held up my appraisal by 4 days when he told them they couldn't see my car there because it was being moved. As soon as my insurance company considered the car a total loss Bishop took the loner back, and have not contacted me since. They deleted the picture they posted of me with the golden deal off their Facebook page (the day they asked if I had pictures) Then also blocked me on Facebook. I had to pay a thousand dollar deductible, lose my no claim discount, go over a week without a vehicle, and had extreme stress because they didn't want to admit there employee messed up the new car I just got from them. The dealership increase the amount of the sale price to 40,689.. Unfortunately, they lost a $40k sale and my future business at any one of there dealerships. All over trying to squeeze $689 out of the deal. Very shady practice, also caught the business manager in a lie during my test drive visit. More

Extremely Poor I was in a nightmare with the service department for 4 months then a cost of a new engine was the final result. Not even done there because I was asked to not return. Some how this really doesn't seem right. Now a single mom I have 2 car payments because I had to take out a loan to pay for the engine ugh. This really hurt because I don't have a big income and no one to help me with it. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. Please stay away. More
