Bill Utter Jr. was 14 when he started working at Bill Utter Ford. With his new driver's license, Bill began delivering parts for the family dealership. Bill and Virginia Utter opened the doors to their new Ford dealership in 1956 in downtown Denton. It was the beginning of a family tradition of offering the best Ford products and services to North Texas families.
In the early days, they were simply concerned with making ends meet from day to day and treating each customer with courtesy and respect, as they would any friend. Many of those customers became lifelong friends, and the business grew from one referral to another to serve generations. This pact held until yesterday, when his car decided to go belly up. We shopped online and decided to check out Bill Utter to test drive the three cars we were interested in (sorry, Steve Davidson, we were totally gonna use you and then go home and think). Steve met us by my car; he knew exactly which cars we were interested in, talked up their perks AND the problems they could have. He did some comps for us, wasn't pushy, and his financial guru found us a better deal than our pre qualified amount. Seriously, if you need a salesman, definitely look for Steve. He got my humor, had a good time with us, has the most adorable son EVER, and is incredibly personable. My husband and I left with a car, no divorce in sight, and we are still talking to each other.
