This is a follow-up to my previous rating of this dealership. Still no satisfaction from Bill Kidd's Volvo. When I bought my Volvo as a used vehicle, I was told you buy a "Volvo for life". Mine la dealership. Still no satisfaction from Bill Kidd's Volvo. When I bought my Volvo as a used vehicle, I was told you buy a "Volvo for life". Mine lasted about 3-1/2 years until repaired at this dealership for a fuel line leak. They declined to refund the money for their faulty repair that ended with my 2000 Volvo with 77,000 miles on fire on Goucher Boulevard. It is a total loss. They will not investigate with my insurance company the cause of the fire and will not communicate with me. It will surely end in litigation. They did offer to sell me another Volvo, but I told them I have no confidence in Volvo or Bill Kidd. Beware of this dealership for sales or service. More
On October 25th I took my 2000 S40 in for a factory recall. There was 10 days lead time for the appointment and I was told the appointment would require 3-4 hours. They agreed to give me a loaner for recall. There was 10 days lead time for the appointment and I was told the appointment would require 3-4 hours. They agreed to give me a loaner for the day. On the afternoon of the 25th I received a call that the car was not finished because they didn't have the part. Didn't have the part? Hello, it was a specific part on a factory recall and you had 10 days to get the part. I didn't make an issue of it. Late the next afternoon I received a call that they had found a leak in the fuel line and it was not safe for me to drive the car because a spark could ignite. Reluctantly I let them make the repair and I picked up the car about 5PM. I drove the car approximately 25-30 miles over the weekend and on Monday afternoon, the car ignited at Joppa and Goucher Boulevard. It is a total loss and Bill Kidd's Volvo told me they had repaired what they saw and therefore have no responsibility. "In the real world, the insurance company handles this and life goes on". That is almost a direct quote from Service Manager, Tony Repko. No, I did not get a refund for the repair. More
I recntly went to Bill Kidds Volvo to find out the radio code for my S40 (I recently changed my battery and it needed re-setting) and the guy I dealt with at the front desk made me wonder whether this deale code for my S40 (I recently changed my battery and it needed re-setting) and the guy I dealt with at the front desk made me wonder whether this dealership has any idea of what customer service means. He was sarcastic and treated me like I did not belong there at all. I have experienced unfriendly treatment in the past and I am starting to wonder on whether this has anything to do with my being a minority?! Bill Kidds TIMONIUM please change your customer relation policies. More
I would recomend my Sales person (Debbie Skipper - Awsome). However, I can not recomend this dealership based on the poor quality of the "Certified" inspection that they provide. The Vehicle was pur Awsome). However, I can not recomend this dealership based on the poor quality of the "Certified" inspection that they provide. The Vehicle was purchased at night and one of the tires had a bubble in the sidewall. After a fight, it was replaced, thanks to Debbie. The next problem was the sunroof. After the 7th visit, the roof is still not fixed. At the 5th visit, after going through the problem of a courtesy car (scheduling the 1 that they have), I was told the sunroof tech. was not in. WHAT? I recently was told by the Bill Kidd Service desk guy, they do not reccommend you use car washes in the winter time. When are you suppose to use a car wash? My sunroof leaks in car washes. I love the car. It would have been much better had it been truly Certified. I wonder how and when this will be resolved? More
