Certified Used Altima I have owned this 2015 Altima approx 2 months. One minor issue was warrantied immediately by Service. Today I took it in for a look at the brakes. Service told me there is some glazing on rotors from hard braking, but all good for many miles on pads. They could have charged me for a brake job, but were honest. My kind of Shop / Dealership. I have been enjoying this very responsive 6 cyl and benefiting also from better gas mileage and comfort than my old 4 cyl, and save on car washes. Bill Kay Nissan has free car washes! More

VERY Untrustworthy Dealership I had my vehicle in to be checked out for a noise in the front end. I was informed that the differential in the front had a bad bearing. I was told I I had my vehicle in to be checked out for a noise in the front end. I was informed that the differential in the front had a bad bearing. I was told I was 1,100 miles past my 60K Nissan mfg warranty. When I bought the vehicle new, I had purchased an extended warranty to 100K. I was informed that my warranty was voided because the vendor who changed the fluids in my differentials had used 75W-90 Synthetic Oil vs Nissan recommended 80W-90. I researched and the synthetic is actually a better oil. When I spoke to Rick the Service manager, he admitted it was a technicality but since I had it serviced outside of Nissan, they would not honor it. What really upset me the most, is that they dug through my glove box without my permission to find the service records for the vehicle when they had my phone number and could have simply called and asked. Last vehicle I will ever take to a Bill Kay dealership. Nissan would not honor the warranty either as I called them direct. This was my second and last Nissan product I will ever own. Once this vehicle is repaired, I will trade it in on a new American vehicle and I will buy American from now on. More
Spoke to the service writer on Wednesday 1/29 to make an appointment for an oil change--the service writer told me he could not schedule me till next week--I spoke to the service mgr--who was doing a "two s appointment for an oil change--the service writer told me he could not schedule me till next week--I spoke to the service mgr--who was doing a "two step" and told me that Friday would be the earliness. Thomas Nissan in Joliet--drove in, no appointment out in 1/2 hour--the difference in the 2 dealerships is customer satisfaction "taking care of the customer" Spoke to Jason on Thursday, the GM ?, had no idea that his service was run that way---Bill Kay is operating under the "old school theory" on taking care of the customer that is why Thomas has by business and the "word by mouth" will be emphasized in all dealership conversations that I have. More

I brought my car in for a hard starting problem and without even my approval, they start cutting the rear suspension off and part of the frame!! I got the car back with the same problem and had to pay the bill to get it back! I called the police, but because BILL KAY is lining the village sales tax chest in downers grove, guess who one that battle?! STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!! More
I have been using Bill Kay Nissan to service my Nissan van for the past few years. Every time I go in there (which is typically 2 or 3 times a year), they come up with all these maintenance needs. So finally last week when they said I have to change my rear breaks again (less then two years since the last change and only 20K from the last change), I had enough and sold my quest and brought a Honda van. All I know is that it must be nice that a dealer can provide such a "lack" of service and still remain in business, especially during these economic times.
